So i’m meant to be looking for a florist, but came across this picture – THIS will be centrepiece for the tables. IF anyone know flowers & has some input re any of it, please let me know. Happy to substitute for less expensive flowers to keep costs down. I’m already collecting jars.
How beautiful is this bees?

@Nic01: That looks great. I’m not flower-savvy but it looks like there are baby breaths and pink dahlia in there.

Omg I LOVE this!!! Im having my reception in a barn and Im wanting burlap and lace…may have to steal this idea for my centerpiece lol

@Nic01: Simple, elegant and gorgeous! Wow!

Baby’s Breath, Dahlias (the big fluffy ones) and I think Tuberose (the smaller pink ones.) Baby’s Breath is practically free, Tuberose is mid range and Dahlias depending on the season can be expensive.

In the foreground I see a pink dahlia with a large white Chinese chrysanthemum behind it, and a couple of silver dusty miller leaves. To the right there is baby’s breath with pale pink delphiniums behind it. Way towards the back I see pink hypericum berries and Queen Anne’s lace. None of these flowers will break the bank 🙂

@CoolBeans: lol i’ve actually just copied & pasted this to teh florist to ensure that she gets it right 🙂
@paperwhite: apparently in season during summer = perfect for me!
@autumnlynnhill: totally steal it. simply breathtaking. the fact that my ex-florist double booked me doesnt even bother me anymore. They will be placed on white table cloth, a very light dusty dink table ruunr & some mof mum’s crochet doilies
Also thinking that the bridesmaids will have nice full bouquet with baby’s breath.
So excited! (until i get a quote) …keep you updated…

I was so excited that I showed FI – he called them old lady flowers!! Pfftt men. I may inject a little more colour to satisfy him. What do you ‘flourishing’ bees think? Any recommendations of flowers that could ‘lift’ the colour scheme?
@Nic01: Could you add some Pink Roses/Carnations? Like the ones in this picture?
Edit: Here’s another centrepiece that has a burst of colour to make it less “grandmother”

I believe it’s a pink dahlia, a white dahlia, baby’s breath, pink stock and some cowslip. Hope that helps, it looks like a lovely idea!

still waiting to hear back for a quote…
