I'm so sorry you feel this way. I've never been pregnant so I can't commiserate but I hope you feel better soon! Ice cream always makes me feel better.. maybe go buy a box of Magnums or stop by Ben and Jerry's! :)
I had morning sickness, but it was nothing compared to my migraines. I literally had migraines, severe migraines that would last for 2 weeks straight. I had to go to the ER every weekend pretty much. So all I did was lay on the couch. The computer hurt my head, the bright tv hurt my head, I couldn't do anything. It's hard to feel like crap all the time!
The good news is after the 2nd trimester starts your hormones should settle down a little and it will probably go away. I'm in my 3rd trimester, and aside from the back aches I feel great!
that sounds like me in my first tri. it was miserable. once I got into the 2nd things got better.
I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so terrible. Just try to remind yourself it will get better (hopefully). Also, do your best to eat frequently. Most people find the nausea is worse when you are hungry, making it impossible to eat! During the first trimester I kept small snacks in my desk at work and tried to munch all day. Almonds are good and I also had some honey pretzel sticks that helped a lot. Good luck!
That was me when I was preggers. I was so weak I could't stand up to brush my teeth. I've heard it gets better.
(((hugs))) It gets better! I was the same, going to bed at 7:30,etc til 2nd trimester.
Sounds like my first trimester, minus the nausea, I'm sorry you've got that one! Some days I slept over 16 hours. And I burst into tears constantly. I spent one entire day laying on the couch staring at nothing because I was so depressed. I mean, I even looked up pregnancy depression and convinced myself I had it!! Luckily the hormones started easing up around week 12, so I wasn't such a sleepy psycho. Your time will come when you'll at least start feeling more like yourself again
i'm sorry you're feeling so crappy :( between weeks 6-8 were THE WORST for me - i was exhausted to the point of feeling sad and sick all the time, even when i slept alot. it was so frustrating. even worse for me was that my sensitivity to smells was so extreme and i could not escape it. and of course, morning sickness certainly is not confined to the morning only!
just keep reminding yourself that it WILL end! most likely in the next 3-4 weeks, your symptoms will start to subside and you'll start feeling like yourself again. i started feeling better around week 10 (i even took a trip and had a great time, surprisingly) so your body might adjust before the 2nd trimester. just pay attention towhat your body tells you - sleep whenever you can, eat what you're craving, and if you feel like crying, CRY. you will get through this :)
Yup, last night I stayed on the couch from when I got home from work until my husband woke me up at midnight "to go to bed". We are calling it "baby drain". My big joy in life is eating at restaurants, when he asked where I wanted to go the other night, my response was: Meh.
It comes and goes, Monday I felt awesome, followed by several days of not so great and terrible. After trying for so long, I am incredibly grateful to be feeling this way though. I just think of it as the baby is growing, and while I am in survival mode, it is ultimately a very good thing.
It gets better!!! I was sleeping (literally) 12 hours a day so I was either at work, driving to/from work or sleeping for most of the first trimester! And I had pretty bad morning sickness as well. Sour candies (or the preggie pop drops they sell especially for morning sickness), ginger tea and crackers/dry food helped me.
:::HUGS::: congratulations on your pregnancy and know you are not alone!!!
I'm 8 weeks and also constantly nauseated and very tired. Plus I just started a new job a few weeks ago. The only thing that helps a little is sucking on lemon drop candies. I haven't told my family or friends yet and I feel like I just keeping making excuses to get out of things because I feel so bad.
Yup! I felt like that from week 6 to now - although it's starting to get better now; at 12 weeks. The miracle of life sure ain't an easy one! Hang in there; I try to remind myself that it's all worth it!
The first trimester is terrible. You just puke and sleep. I was so exhausted I had to take naps at work. At week 13 I felt like a new woman.
Thank you so much everyone! Your support is so appreciated. :) Ive been taking naps in my car during lunch which does help. I called my doctor today and got a prescription for Zofran, so hoping that helps a lot with the nausea!

I am 7 weeks along and feel HORRIBLE. This is not fun or exciting at all. I'm in a constant state of nausea and sadness. I want to cry constantly. I'm exhausted. I've tried taking unisom and b6 for the nausea, but now I'm afraid it's making me more tired.
Please tell me I'm not alone. I've slept literally all day today and still feel terrible.
