So Fed Ex just dropped off a package addressed to my b/f. It's not small or box shaped or anything, and acutally looks like some type of document.
HOWEVER, the return address is Brilliant Earth in San Francisco!!!!
We're going on a getaway trip next weekend to Napa or San Fran!!
ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS IT BETTER NOT BE FREAKING EARINGS!

I'm just going to say some legal stuff came for him or his business or something...and just pretend like I didn't see the return address on it. I'm tempted to call my mom though!!!

OMG so I told him you got a package of documents from a lawyer or a customer or something.... and he says "oh they're the gasskets i ordered?" spelling? i have no idea what a gassket is or how to spell it...but i know for sure it's not in there!
BUT what documents would Brilliant Earth be mailing that would require an arrival signature???

HA! Gaskets? No way possible. Lets hope its something shiny. Try to occupy your mind with other things though. Just to keep a little element of surprise.
So I was just thinking.... IF Brilliant Earth did make a custom diamond gasket... How disappointing that would be... "umm honey, that's not the type of ring I had in mind...." LOL
Eee! That's super exciting! Fingers crossed. OBTW a gasket is typically a mechanical part that keeps things from leaking. So like "oh yeah I ordered a gasket for my car" with a letter from BE, not likely ;) Boys. They're so silly.
i got my package from the mail box before FI proposed to. after he asked i asked him what the documents were and they were the layaway and papaer work for my ring. lol good luck!
@divergirl: It might be an appraisal for the ring he bought if it feels like papers... :)
I'm curious too, what the papers are...maybe they do mail it separately?

I bet you're about to blow a gasket LOL!! That is so exciting, don't forget to follow up so we can see what happens.
Keep your cool, enjoy your trip and dont get your hopes too too high... that pretty much happened to me repeatedly until he FINALLY surprised me 4 years later....
@divergirl: he bought the ring at the store and they sent him all the lay away paper work and warrenty stuff seperate. i pretty much knew what it was when i saw the return address though

A couple times before we got engaged we would get a UPS notice or something to go pick up a package at our rental office, I was always suspicious of that. When it actually was a ring I'm pretty sure it was shipped to his parents address, maybe he wanted to be sure I didn't intercept anything!
carpie makes a good point. and i think you may ruin your surprise by looking too much. i thought every datenight and every romantic action was leading to a proposal and he ended up proposeing when i went to get a soda from our time share lol

Good luck! I was there the day my Brilliant Earth ring was delivered. I had a feeling that was it, but I didn't get up and go to the door and I wouldn't let myself look at the box. Good luck!!
Alright so he planned a trip to San Fran! We're staying overnight! This is the first trip he's ever planned since our first date! He suggested I get a manicure, and I was talking about it looking funny because my thumb nails recently broke and are pretty short...he said I should do it anyway and it would look good. So I'm going to go tomorrow after my 12 o'clock meeting!
What's today? oh right ttthhhhuurrrsssdddaaaayyyy 
We're not leaving until Saturday morning.

Maybe the ring is in San Francisco since that is where the return address was, and it was only the paperwork aaaaaarrrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhh I'm going nuts for you right now!
