Fall_In_Love22:  Haha! That’s awesome.

I am terrified of spiders and every time I find one in my house, I have to formulate a plan on how to kill it, and then grow the guts to follow through with it. It takes me 20 minutes between the screaming, squirming, putting on my tennis shoes and actually attempting to kill the sucker.

Bleach though! I’ll have to try that next time 😀

OMG you sound like me. Haha im so scared of spiders! I often use hairspray to paralyze them until I can formulate a plan to kill it and/or call someone to come kill it for me.

Fall_In_Love22:  Are you sure that the bleach isn’t just making it stronger underneath that boot? I would’ve abandoned the house and went to find a new one lol. I’m also TERRIFIED of anything that has too many legs or not enough lol lol lol.

I just read that spiders and mice hate peppermint, so if you buy some peppermint oil at the grocery store and add it to some water in a spray bottle, you can spray it around your windows and doors to keep the critters out. I’m definitely going to try this! (Last week I found a mouse living in my fall boots, that was “fun”. Thank god I looked before sticking my foot inside!)

I freaking hate spiders, but I usually try and get them in a cup and throw it outside, if possible.  Otherwise it’s in the vacuum they go…

Fall_In_Love22:  We are getting a kitty next month to hopefully help with our mice problem! DH started putting traps in the garage (they were coming in through our dryer vent in the garage) and we’ve been getting a mouse a day.  Anyways, I think spiders are worse! Try the oil and let us know if it makes a difference 🙂

SOOOOOOOOOOOO Gross!!!! But, good for you for being able to do something about it – even if that something is bleach 😉

Fall_In_Love22:  I have found myself in the “curtain” situation before haha! My solution? put on my shoes (as usual…. haha), grabbed toilet paper and made a bunch of little balls and started throwing them at the spider. When the spider fell, I stepped on it. haha

I used to live by the beach in Southern California and for some reason the spiders there turn into crab sized monsters. I got good at that hahaha

I usually just cup spiders with a heavy clear drinking glass. they always run to the edge and go around in circles trying find a way out. Then they either suffocate or starve to death, I dont know but it kills em after a day or so.

The only solution now is to move.
