I just want to say that you are awesome. So many brides would flip out and replace the girl so their pics wouldn’t be ruined. Good for you for loving your BM unconditionally.

I hope everything else goes smoothly!

Brave indeed. That’s amazing and what weddings are all about. Love and friendship!

You both sound like awesome people.  One of my bridesmaids is in a wheelchair.  I just asked her what she felt comfortable with- the groomsman rolled her up the aisle and we had a friend sit behind her to help roll her up for the vows since she didn’t want to get her hands dirty with the wheels.  It worked out great.

That is so supportive and kind of you, wish you a whole lot of happiness on your wedding and my sympathies to your BM.

Aw that’s a shame!  But yeah I’d totally trick out her wheelchair with wedding fabulousness!

This post is AWESOME!  I love that she is going to be there, wheelchair or not – and that you are being so supportive of it!

This is such a feel good story… minus her breaking her ankle! Poor thing! But good for you for standing up for her! That is seriously awesome :] I’m glad that she will still play an important part in your wedding day!

You sound like an awesome bride with great perspective! Sorry to hear of your BM’s misfortune, but so glad she’ll still be able to attend the wedding!

I’m the same exact way! My friend from highschool has MS and she said she didn’t want to be in the party because she didn’t know if she’d be able to walk and I told her I’d get her a wheelchair and wheel her down myself if I had to, LOL.

I’m glad to know someone else is open minded about this too, and she broke her ankle for a good cause! Lol.
