I am jumping up and down excited! My birthday was a few weeks ago, so I was surprsied when, while visiting the nearly-in-laws tonight, my FMIL hands me this gorgeous package and wishes me a happy belated birthday. Having no clue what it could be, I open it up and what do I find...My Hair Comb! My beautiful etsy original Vintage Silver Astoria Hair Comb by the brilliant Lulu Splendor!

I was devastated when a few days ago I was once again stalking it on etsy (which I have been doing for...ummm...months, trying to convince myself I NEED to spend the $$ for it because...ummm...I wanted it so badly.) and it had been Sold! Oh no! I woke my FI up at 2am upset at myself for not having purchased it and demanding to know if it was okay if I spent the $75 for the earrings I want from her so badly as well (the answer is No, $75 is too much. :( I understand because our budget it tiny and we are poor students, but I was upset over losing both my pretties!).

I LOVE LOVE my FMIL! Look at the pictures! How it sparkles! It does that in real life too! Its a small hair comb, but for my head size (is that weird to think about?) it is perfect! *squee!*

Well done FMIL! I love those kinds of surprises and it looks like you've got people around you who know how to make an impact. So much fun that she managed to snag it without you knowing. Do you think someone else might surprise you with the earrings (maybe that's why FI was adamant about you not getting them?). I don't want to get your hopes up, but maybe ... :-)

This seems to have posted twice...? Weird. It'd LOVE if I got the matching earrings (the ones you can partly see on the dummy head show casing the hair comb)! They recently sold as well, so maybe they'll be for Christmas?! :D A girl can hope and dream...*sigh*
