Weddingbee boards

To cheer myself up about the Boy’s recent job loss, I decided to do a little pre-wedding planning. We are very party, party people. I can’t quite see us having a normal wedding and standard reception and see a bar/lounge as more our scene, however since we have kids I thought that option was out and we’d do a small family buffet and then night after-party.

Enter the most perfect wedding reception location for the Boy and I! When I remembered this place I almost screamed with glee. It’s a lounge that is very chic with great décor,  and wonderful food. They do a “club” thing at night, and regularly host shows. And they allow kids (hallelujah!!!) and since they’re open until 2 a.m., we could actually have the after-party there after the kiddies and older folks leave. Perfection!

Already overly excited about this place, I nervously looked at their menu and it is SO reasonable for a buffet (with passed hors d’ourves)  it’s ridiculous! And, because of the beautiful inside, we don’t need to add anything but *maybe* a small flower here or there. Saving money on the decorations = more money for other things!

So, I am taking that as confirmation that everything with the Boy’s job situation and proposal stuff is going to work out sooner rather than later. I can truly see us having our wedding reception there. Funny how a little pre-wedding planning can totally fix a sulky mood!
