I don't know what they're called... deli pickles maybe? the ones you get that are more white-ish than dark green and super crunchy. I have never found them in the grocery that good, only on occasion when I get a sandwich from somewhere :)
I love dill pickles. Sometimes I get a craving for them and eat them right out of the jar!
I LOVE pickles! Sweet pickles, dill pickles, bread & butter pickles, pickled okra, pickled beets, pickled baby corn, pickled peppers, pickled garlic, pickled chicken eggs, pickled quail eggs, pickled sausages, I love pretty much anything pickled excluding pickled pig's feet!
@MissAsB: That's the only way to eat them, imo. ;) I end up nomming down more than I intend to before I catch myself. The juice is tasty, too.
OK...I LOVE this thread!! I'm partial to Mt. Olive pickles (being from NC), but I also love pickled pigs feet, olives and anything with capers!! Garlic pickes and dill are yummy!!
Oh my do I love my pickles. Dill are my FAVORITE. I'm also crazy about green olives..especially stuffed ones with like garlic. I could eat them by the handfuls.
@diva81esq: Ha, my grandma loves garlic anything--she used to put garlic salt on EVERYTHING until she had a stroke and was put on a salt restriction. :(
I'm really not a fan of pickles.
I do like cucumbers and prefer to have them added to my sandwich than a pickle. That probably makes me a little wierd. But, it's something about the freshness and crunch that the cucumber provides. Oh, I also like to grill cucumbers...
Claussen. There is NOTHING better! They are always crunchy and totally worth the money! I can eat an entire jar, which might gross some people out but they are my favorite thing to eat! I too eat pickled veggies like mad - okra (YUM!), asparagus, green bean, snap peas, cauliflower, peppers, carrots, celery, onions... SO GOOD!
One of my goals next year is to begin pickling all my own veggies - Since I eat so much of it, might as well make it cheap, right? :)
Ha, the only way I eat pickles is on my sub sami's...other than that, I HATE them lol
@Ryansgirl: Are you talking about the potato chips that are Dill Pickle flavored? If so, they too are AMAZING! :)
I'm like @floridabeachbride I hate pickles (one accidental hidden pickle on a sandwich ruins the whole meal for me) but I LOVE cucumbers! My sister is the exact opposite, loves pickles and hates cucumbers, haha :p
@babyboo: im with you guys... i hate pickles! looovvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeee cucumbers... i do eat dill and sweet relish in my tuna salad tho!
Love me some Vlassics and fried pickles, of course. Never tried them grilled, sounds interesting. I used to manage a convenience store, and we sold the huge individual pickles, but for some reason that really grossed me out. That's way too much pickle for me, lol.
Dill spears are the best! I can't stand any type of sweet pickle.
I made a pitcher of cucumber lemon water recently but only managed to finish half of it before going on vacation. When I got back a week and a half later, the cucumbers had pickled! Gross :(
There are picles that Whole Foods sells - they come from Boston - They are super garlicy but a little spicy - AMAZING!!!!
I love dill spears. Like someone said above, I don't really like the darker green pickles, I like the ones with the really light color to them. The best kind I've found in the grocery store is Claussen.
And I LOOOOOVE fried pickles. Sounds really weird, but they're amazing.
The only pickles I don't like are the sweet kind.
I love pickles too! The light in color kind are called 'new pickles' or 'half sours.' They generally have them in Jewish Delis around NY/NJ and they are my super faves!
I dont think there is a pickle I dont like! But I would have to say my fav are the 1/2 sours that are in the coolers at the super market!

We picked up some Milwaukee Midget Dills the other night when we were grocery shopping...nom!
Do you like pickles? What's your favorite kind? FH loves "bar pickles" (aka kosher spears) but I hate 'em--too floppy, lol.
