i was told 15 years ago it was almost impossible for me to get pregnant naturally. my daughter was IVF and that was that. (my ex could not have kids either)
move on 15 years. new life new partner i am 40 he is 22. we get married next august
well this morning i took the test and its positive!!!!!
stunned and very very worried i take a lot of medication for my disability and my gynae history is awful
told himself and he just sat there stunned no hug nothing.
confused as hell as he had always said he wanted kids and we had discussed at length the almost part but we agredd to try and see what happened.
we been trying 8 months!

Oh wow! That is wonderful news! Don’t worry about him just staring… when you looked at that stick, did it not take a moment to sink in?

At 22, a baby is a big deal. He is probably just in shock because of your infertility problems. Give him a little time. More than likely he’s shocked, nervous and probably terrified. Talking about babies is one thing but cold reality sets in once you’re actually pregnant.

I always tease that the reason a pregnancy is 9 (or 10!) months long is to give the man time to get used to the idea! Most men will be absolutely in love with his son or daughter when he/she is born. But it is VERY common for men to be a little more shocked or nervous in the beginning. Especially at age 22!
