    So a while back on 7/15 I contacted a seller on etsy, It came back with an auto response saying that they would be gone until late July. So I went on with my life. I got on etsy today to check some stuff out and realized that I hadnt heard back from her so I sent her this

    Hey, I know your message said that you would be back in late July. Its mid Augest now and know that you are probably busy, I was just seeing if you needed a reminder.

    and this is what I got back

    No, I don't need a "reminder". The e-mail that you received was an auto-response to your convo'. I don't mean to sound curt with you, however, I live in Arizona, and my family lives in NY. I don't feel as tho' I owe anybody an explanation as to my whereabouts. Etsy has a "let me know when seller returns" option, and you would have been notified when my shop re-opened. I was on vacation, I get to see my family maybe once a year at best, so, please excuse me if I wasn't here to cater to your needs for a transfer that by the looks of it is not going to be taking place in, hmmmm say "mid" NOVEMBER.... , and on that note.... I simply do not care to do business with people in which whom have zero understanding that sometimes life??? Well... you just can't always please everybody, now can you.... sorry to dissapoint. Good day to you... 

    I was a little frustrated!!! I in no way meant that to be rude, but I guess that isnt the kind of person I want to be working with anyways. Dont you think this was out of line? Or am I just having to thin of skin?

    wow, her response was completely rude. I think you were ok in contacting her because you expected her to be back by now since that's what her website said anyways..

    You know, you'd think vendors would smarten up a little and remember that for every bride they think they are putting in their place, that bride is on a forum like WeddingBee or Yelp telling everyone to stay away.

    Lmao.. is this for real?  Don't even worry about doing business with whoever that is.  I say, blast them.. let us know who it is.  I def need to avoid them, because that is ridiculous.  The last thing I need right now is someone trying to have an attitude with me online, lol.

    Well Im glad you all dont think that Im just taking it personally, she was so rude!!! 

    this is what I sent back

    I know it was an auto response. I didnt know there was an option to get notified when a shop re opened I am fairly new to etsy I have only bought two things thus far. I did not mean to come across rude, but I can imagine that if you were out your inbox would be pretty full seen as how these things seem to be popular lately, and nobody is perfect and things are bound to at times slip through the cracks. I have perfect understanding of your family situation as of now, and I can relate. So I dont blame you for wanting to spend time with your family. However, I in no way intended to be rude and it seems that was your goal in your last message. Yes my wedding is in mid November which is a little less than three months away, I am a planner and am just organized. I dont know exactly why you are so angry. I am hoping that you just had a bad day, and for that I am sorry, but I did nothing to deserve the kind of message that you sent. Glad you get to spend time with your family, and you have a good day as well.. I hope you dont treat all of your customers this way.

    I think I was pretty nice compared to the message I got, is there a way to turn them into etsy???

    Yes, that was an incredibly rude response. Since you're her customer, she should've been more courteous. Anyhow, you never know what other people are going through and she looks like she was venting on you. You handled it pretty professional.

    Can you get your money back?  Please tell me you can!  I would never, ever do business with this person again.  I'd really like to know which shop this is so that I can avoid using them in the future, as well!

    @Pinksapphire: I will PM it to you. She has good feedback on etsy, Im assuming she is just having a shitty day, not that that is an excuse for her behavior bc I am clearly not impressed.

    That really sucks@ I would say definately move on and find another vendor. Her attitude alone says she does not care about you as a customer, or the need to please you with her product. Save yourself the trouble and aggravation and find someone else, who is more willing to work with you in a respectful manner.

    Goodness!! That is just BEYOND rude.  No one asked her to report her whereabouts... god.  Props to you on your response, I would have attempted to rip her a new one.  Please keep us updated on how she responds again... if she does.

    yowza, totally rude!  i could *almost* see how she misinterpreted your message as being snarky to her - but she should have given you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you were NOT being snarky, but sincere!  she is totally crazy for how she went on and gave her whole life story - why would you care?

    @PurpleUnicorn: I thought about that too. I can see how people can take things the wrong way, especially in emails, texts etc. But common now.. you think she would assume that I wasnt considering I was inquiring about working with her lol. I guess I need to work on how I word things lol

    Wow consider yourself lucky that you didn't give her your business!!!  That was ridiculously rude, and uncalled for!  Your message certainly didn't warrant that kind of a response.  Let us know what she responds, if she bothers.  She was clearly taking out some kind of anger on you.

    I have been ordering off of Etsy lately and I too would like to know who it was. I wouldn't trust anyone with my business after that. What if something went wrong with my order. Geez...

    @Wonderstruck: Ya true!! and I have been PM ing more tonight than I ever have lol. I didnt want to be rude, I know some girls get offended if you bash vendors... I didnt want to start any drama just wanted to know if I was being to sensitive. Im glad you all had the same reaction I did, I dont feel so crazy now. So I would be more than happy to let you know, Im glad I did post though a bee said that she had a pending order with this vendor!!
