Though we don't know about Frank, he might still be alive. Heck, even Sayid might still be alive. Unless I see evidence of a character's actual dead body on Lost, I don't ever trust that they are really gone.
Um why did neither of them seem to remember they had a baby to take care of?
i was so upset when jin died last time..and then he didn't die. and now he AND sun are dead. and they're baby has no parents! grrrr!! of course, there is an alternate story line where they're both fine...maybe they'll somehow merge? stupid sawyer.
Such a sad episode! Can't wait until next week though...did you see the promo!? Hopefully some MIB/Jacob answers!
What the heck!?!? I mean, I know the series is ending, but are they just going to kill everyone off until there's only one person left? And where has Richard been hiding?
@greenleafmountain - I think that's EXACTLY what they're going to do. And the last man standing will be the "new" Jacob.
I have to say, I've been a loyal follower this whole time. I devoured season 1 in a weekend! And I find myself more and more bored with every passing episode. I mean, we lost Sayidh, Sun, and Jin last night and I really have only one thought on that - Get On With It! (Those of you who watch Monty Python know exactly what I mean.)
I'm bored. I feel like we haven't learned anything worthwhile in ages and the writers are just spinning their wheels now.
It was such a sad episode! My friend came over to watch it with me, and she was SO ticked off at the end. She said if she had been watching it by herself she would have bawled and I agreed!
Luckily I watched by myself, because I was SOBBING. SO hard that at one point I started laughing at myself because I was literally sobbing over a tv show. Then the fiance came home and I told him what happened and started crying again. He thinks I am crazy.
I was SO UPSET about last night's episode!! How the hell do you kill off Jin and Sun AND Sayid? My FI came home and asked how Lost was and I told him it sucked and I was mad at the writers...
Anyone care to guess who the new Jacob will be? My guess will be Hugo or Jack.
It should be Hurley. Jack is about as interesting as a wet piece of broccoli.

I think it'll be Jack... although now he's completely confused because he was certain they wouldn't die and nothing would happen with the bomb. I wonder what would have happened if Sawyer left it alone!
Damn! I missed it because I was out at a mixer! How did they die? can someone do a recap prettyyy please? I'll probably watch it on th internet later but I can't wait!
I liked the main story last night but did not care for the sideways story with Locke in the hospital. I would have rather seen a sideways story on another character!
@habibah - he said they wouldn't die if Sawyer *didn't* try to diffuse the bomb. He doesn't think Locke can kill them himself - he needs them to do it by proxy. But Sawyer *did* try to diffuse it and everyone went kaboom.
Was anyone else hoping that the bullet would actually kill Kate? She's been one of my least favorite characters since day one.
I have a theory that Hurley is actually "the one." Because I think that everyone else except for the new Jacob will die, and you can't kill off Hurley. That would be like killing a puppy.
There's like 3 more episodes people. Not everyone is going to live happily ever after. What did you think was going to happen?
Sayid is definitely dead. Frank Lapidus is also dead. Sun and Jin, as we know, dead. Kate's next, maybe Kate and Sawyer together. My vote for awesome turn of events would be Kate and Sawyer dying together and it turning out that they are the "Adam and Eve" skeletons in the Cave.
Last night's episode, sad as it was, was clutch as it confirmed that MIB/Fake Locke is evil (which we pretty much knew anyway but they left it slightly open to interpretation), and also MIB/Fake Locke can't get off the island until all the candidates are dead.
I think they are gearing up for Jack to be the new Jacob, but they are making it so the obvious choice that I kind of hope it ends up being Ben. Speaking of which, I need the Ben/Richard/Miles contingent to reappear.
They are definately making it obvious that JACK will be the one. Sayid said "because it's going to be you", before running away with the bomb. I find this to be so obvious and annoying. I find Jack annoying. He never believed in the island, it was always LOCKE who believed in it. I want the real locke to come back from the dead and be the new jacob, but that's probably not going to happen. He deserves it - not Jack!!!

I was also upset about Jin/Sun, but I couldn't help thinking in the back of my mind, that the end of the show is going to play out where they're alive anyway, in the flash sideways. I don't know how, but it will merge.
that SUCKED!!! Im soo upset that FOUR characters got the ax last night!!!! Ugh..I literally LOLed when they left Claire AGAIN though!
I agree that it will be Jack, and I'm actually glad. I don't get the Jack hate, I think I identify most with him of all the characters.
As sorry as I was to see Sayid die, I think it's interesting because the others at the temple claimed he couldn't be saved. And yet at the end he managed to redeem himself. The whole mythology of the island seems to be build around people either being good or evil, but among the characters almost everyone is struggling with some issue of self redemption. It makes me wonder if the series will end with the candidates somehow breaking down the good vs. evil/ Jacob vs. man in black paradigm, maybe killing the fakelocke or something, and rather than just having someone replace Jacob, they change the whole system. But I don't know, because unchanging fate has also been such a strong theme... I just can't help thinking that Sayid breaking the paradigm and defeating the "sickness" was some sort of foreshadowing.
I hope not everyone dies. I can see Jack and Hurley at least living and staying on the island together. I like the dynamic going on there. I also like that we're getting away from the romances a bit and now have people caring about each other for non romantic reasons (like Kate wants to save Claire, or the Jack/Sawyer dynamic).
Anyway, I can't believe there's only three episodes left!!!
Jack might very well be the new Jacob but I think that the writers might be intentionally leading us astray. I just have a Hurley feeling.
I like how Jack and Sawyer are now "even." Jack made a big mistake by trying to detonate Jughead, and Juliet was killed. Sawyer made a big mistake by trying to disarm the C4, and Sun, Jin, Sayid and Lapidus were killed. I think Sawyer might finally forgive Jack now.
@greenleafmountain - I was SO glad that Sayid redeemed himself. One of my least favorite things about season 6 was what they did to Sayid. He was always one of my favorite characters and he became an evil zombie. I'm so glad that he was back to normal before he died. I'd rather see him die a hero than live a zombie.
@danadelphia- I know! I understood the point for the story's sake, but I always thought it was horrible to take such a good actor and tell him to show no emotion or anything. That last quick decision of his was so perfectly Sayid, I realized what I've been missing all season long...

Jacob is always saying "you have a choice" and I think he relied on people choosing to do the right thing (Ben not killing him). I think the fake Locke is on the fate side perhaps. Sayid CHOSE to do the right thing and not kill Desmond. So perhaps this will play out by.....I have no idea haha.

@danadelphia YES every episode they mess with us and act like kate is about to be killed, and she never gets it. She is my least favorite these days also. My heart is broken over Sun and Jin, and most of all - Sayid. He was always my favorite, and him dying is such a reminder that the show is dying soon too. So sad.

My heart is so sad - I loved Jin and Sun. Only one question though - neither of them mentioned their daughter as they were negotiated Jin staying/leaving the sub...I would've thought that they would've come to the conclusion that Jin should leave to raise their daughter. Hm.
I can't believe how these last episodes are playing out - I'm SO pumped for the last few!
@Chreee I've heard a lot of people say the same thing, about Jin and Sun's daughter being left without parents now...but if you think about it, she's been without parents for the past three years while Sun was looking for Jin on the island. She has never even met Jin. And, who's to say that if Jin left the sub that he would've survived and or gotten off of the island at all? Then he would have let his wife die alone and still wouldn't get to see his daughter. It's sad for sure, but so romantic that he "never left her again."
So my FI said that the next Jacob has to be Jack, since he's the central character. He said the equivalent of it not being Jack would be if in Harry Potter, Ron ended up killing Voldemort instead of Harry.
I laughed when he said this, but I totally get what he's saying. Plus Sayid did say "It's going to be you" to Jack right before Sayid died.
@mrsawesome09 - I know - that completely makes sense - and the daughter wouldn't have known Jin at all anyway even if he did end up getting off of the island. It is so romantic that Jin stayed with Sun until the end...unconditional love!
My fiance, his roomate and I were pretty much like this at the end LOST last night, but we didn't want to admit it
I'm starting to wonder if Jin and Sun's daughter, and the whole world that the oceanic 6 came from, even exists any more. What if by going back to the island they changed something, and now only the sideways world exists? I mean, how could both the original world they all came from and the sideways world exist at the same time?
Interesting to see other peoples perspectives!
I started developing a theory during like season 2, that was centralized around Hurley :) But I don't think my theory fits anymore b/c LOST has gotten really out there! But, hey Hurley is still kicking, so maybe.....
I didn't even pick up on Sayid saying that to Jack, I'm going to start really paying attention from now on!
