I just ordered my dress for my Oct wedding. Shit just got real.
*deep breaths* No pics of the actual dress, but here’s the instructions sent to the designer (also it’s going to be a more full, a-line skirt versus tulip shaped since I am super bottom-heavy.)
In these colors instead of the teal and green:
So now I need some advice on accessories! Since our ceremony is outside in NYC in Oct, I want to get a little shawl of some sort. I’m trying to chose between the two below fur styles (note that I will likely buy something fake, but these are ebay pics.) Which color/style do you guys think?

Can’t wait to see your dress! I love your ideas. Us hard to say which wrap without knowing what you look like, they are both beautiful. Is the dress going to be off white or champagne at the top, before the color?

I would pick a stole over a capelet.
Stoles look vintage-chic to my eye, while capelets can look a bit mumsie.

@Tinatiny1: I’m so excited to see it too! It will be white/ivory on top then fading into more beige/cream and then the colors from the bouquet (coming up two extra rows, so more color and then more beige than the pic!)
@lilcafe: I think I agree. DO you like the brown or the white? My mom suggested the white (a throwback to her youth of bunnyfur stoles) I had not thought of it but it might look prettier in the pictures!

I personally like the second one – both style and colour. BUT it depends on the feel you want to go with on your day…classic? vintage? romantic? I don’t think you can go wrong though 🙂

@bkrocks13: I’m with mom: I would definitely try to find a white one. Congratulations!
And you have great style. 🙂

I like the lighter one but I dont know if I would wear fur in early October. It usually isnt that cold out.
ETA: I like the style of A but the color of B.

Love your dress! Very unique and beautiful.
I would go with the white/ivory, for sure! Especially since your dress already has color in it, I wouldn’t do the brown fur. However, because the bottom of your dress is full and embellished, I would do something simple and fitted on top. Have you thought about something shaped more like a blazer or cropped coat. I wouldn’t add something billowy or loose on top, or I think you will loose your shape.
