Ahhhhh So exciting! I remember this time (we just bought our house this past March). I’m like you, I don’t like to wait lol… it is hard. Try to play a game or watch a movie. Keep your mind off of it. If they want to sell they’ll probably counter. We low-balled too… I think a lot of people do.

The turn around time all depends on agent and the sellers. Ours was not long! The person who sold us this house lives across the street, so the agent left us then went across the street to the seller then called us in like an hour or so. We agreed on a price almost right away, then it was adjusted slightly after the home inspection.

Good luck girl!

howtobeawife:  Lol… probably not… you should probably work then. I’m off today. So coffee, comfy clothes and puttering around the house all day for me! At least at work you’ll have something to distract you.

howtobeawife:  Ahh I remember that feeling, so exciting! When we put in an offer on our house, our realtor told the sellers’ realtor that we expected a response within 24 hours. We submitted our offer around 7pm, and heard back the next morning around 11am. We went in at asking price, so they didn’t counter, but I wouldn’t be too worried about them walking. Unless your offer was insultingly low, I’m sure they will counter. Good luck!!

Ahhhh! So exciting! We actaully just had our offer accepted on Friday! Usually the offer has an expiration date, so you can check your paperwork. Ours had 24 hours, but they countered within 2 hours and we accepted an hour later, so by noon it was a done deal!

I hope they’re speedy, it’s hard to wait!!

howtobeawife:  Thank you! We’re trying to not get too excited because we have to sell our place before the new place is officially ours and our place might be a bit of a hard sell. The bank said we could carry both places, but I really dont want to. Fingers crossed someone falls in love with our weird house! lol Is this your first place, or will you have to sell your current home?

Exciting! We just put in a contingent offer, based on appraisal and inspection.

howtobeawife:  If ours wasnt a bit of a weird house, we’d probably do that too. We just dont want to get stuck with both forever! Good Luck to you!

howtobeawife:  Good luck! We just went through that, too…put an offer on a house that already had two other offers on it. We had to sit and stew for about three days before we found out we got it! Waiting is hard! Try to do some fun stuff to keep your mind off of it. 🙂 Good luck!
