My fiance and I are having a photographer and a videographer for our wedding. We have the photographer booked for 8-9 hours with an option to add a couple hours if necessary (although at a rate of $225-$250/hr, not sure how likely it is we will add time) and the videographer for as long as we need them. I would love to capture me getting ready along with my bridesmaids but I am not sure if this would be a productive usage of my time with the photographer. Like another Bee mentioned on here, I am not sure how I feel about my picture being taken when I am half-dressed or without make-up on. We also have a videographer which we don’t have a time limitation on (within reason) but unlike our photographer, he is a man and I am not sure how I would feel about being on video getting my dress on…if you know what I mean.
Which do you think would be a better deal, having the videographer capture the getting ready or the photgrapher? My girls and I are getting our hair and make-up done at a salon earlier in the day then getting ready at the hotel. I am leaning heavily towards the videographer since we have more time with him. I would also like to capture my fiance getting ready with his guys so not sure how to split the time there, he will be elsewhere besides the hotel. Or would it be worth hiring our photographer for a couple more hours? Or maybe I should just stick with a BM or someone else capturing photographs. I know it is important for me to have someone capture my mom helping me into my dress and getting a good picture of us after the fact before the day gets crazy…Sorry this is so long!
