I am on the hunt for a rehersal dress.. I was originally going to wear a sparkly purple dress for my rehersal (see picture), but my sister had her rehersal and wedding this last weekend (Friday/Saturday, respectively).. I was REALLY REALLY against wearing white (read: ivory) for my rehersal, until I saw how absolutely stunning my sister looked for her rehersal in a knee-ish length white dress.. I would want mine a little longer, perhaps to my calfs, or just below the knee.. I DO NOT want my knees exposed… I am slightly befuddled as to what I should do, or where to even look… I have a few ideas in mind, but I am afraid of what it might cost (I am looking for cheap).. Here’s what I have found (the first picture is my *original* rehersal dress)
Both of these dresses are from Alfred Angelo and are ‘Bridesmaids’ dresses, recolored how I would order them for a reception dress, the first one the ‘belt’ and lower purple part are tulle, and the 2nd one is all satin

I wore purple to my rehearsal — why not? Where did this all-white, all-the-time thing come from anyway??

I think the first original dress is a lot more sophisticated than the Alfred Angelo dresses. I’d stick with the original.

@jennicole01: I am defenately not going for ‘all white all the time’.. My wedding gown isn’t even all white
@crayfish: Thanks! I love it, it sparkles LIKE CRAZY!
(Here’s my wedding dress, to get an idea of what I was after for a reception dress to *kinda* match)

I’d stick with the first dress. 🙂

i thought you said “reception dress”
i’d go with the first dress, which is what you already have.
