You mind sharing your budget? You could always do a plain band. I love thin eternity bands with a solitare:

Love it! I have a cushion cut solitaire and this band looks really nice with it! I'm super picky about bands having "exposed like" prongs.  This was the perfect band and the prongs are barely visible.  The diamonds are more than half way around the band...enough to cover the entire top portion of the finger when looking at it.  This is a cost saver compared to eternity bands.

Hope this helps!  PS If you wait they normally offer 10-20% promo codes and free 2 day shipping.  I saved over $93 when I ordered plus free shipping!!

    Good luck!

@betirenteria:  That one is from Amazon at Diamond Delight. I believe it's around $350 and a 1/2 ctw, but I forget what the quality of the diamonds are- you have to look it up.

Here's a moissanite one with slightly larger stones for around $500 depending on your ring size. (I want this one for myself):

I got a custom wedding band for your budget cost. The diamonds go halfway around. Not sure of the technical term for that, but it's gorgeous for the price and appraised for quite a lot more than I paid. Now it depends where you are...in my area custom =$$$$$$, but where we got it made (husbands home state of MI), custom= you pretty much just pay for the cost of the material.

I have a simple, plain band to go with my princess cut solitaire. It's also within your budget as well.

@marthan6:  I love your suggestion..super affordable & who doesn't enjoy discounts.. thanks for taking the time out to help. Would love to see your set.

@CaptainSpaulding:  Do you have a solitaire as well? I agree this ring is gorgeous and affordable I thought my budget wouldn't be enough for an eternity ring. Went to a jeweler this past weekend their eternity band was priced at $1,200 .. now I see how overpriced they are .

@BlondeMissMolly:  looking this up right now! Thanks Miss Molly

If you want an eternity band, I highly recommend Zales (US)/Peoples (CAN). They have a Lifetime Protection Plan that guarentees resizing for free. That means remaking the entire ring if you need to resize your eternity band. That's amazing!! Just check with the diamond specialist because some don't know even eternity bands are resized by their store.

Here's a 0.5 ct thin band. I love it!! It was within your budget.

    I have a solitaire too~ (high five!) :D
I suggest you do a 1/2 eternity or even a 1/3 eternity band, depending on your finger size. It's cost effective, ie. it will give you the bling effect at a much lower price tag. Plus, you can have the choice of resizing down the road with it.

    Here's my set:

What about a bezel eternity ring? I think they're so cool and different and look really nice paired with a plain engagement ring band.

@shashabee:  high five! is your eternity band a 1/2 or 1/3? i love that it doesn't look too thin just the right amount of extra bling:) if you don't mind me asking.. what was the price of your band?

@Someday_Mrs_Maguire:  never seen these in a store to try on but its gorgeous:) thanks for the link

I spent a year searching for my band. I had just about given up when I finally found this beauty, a month before my wedding. It was worth the wait! Don't settle for less than perfection. You have to wear it for the rest of your life!

@betirenteria:  That's a Beverley K ring so it's quite costly but here's an EXACT replica on e-bay for just under $600.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Baguette-Round-77ct-DIAMOND-14K-WHITE-GOLD-WEDDING-ETERNITY-BAND-RING-Unique-/370554447180?pt=US_Fine_Rings&hash=item5646c4254c

I believe the seller also has versions of the same ring with blue sapphires/pink sapphires/ yellow sapphires and rubies if you prefer a little colour. Those are also cheaper I think. Like 450 or so.

Hi, sorry to get back to you so late. I'd just realized I had an unread message in the inbox! Still very new and don't really know my way around here. :P
I was really into the look of an eternity band initially. But I found it to be rather uncomfortable as the prongs would impinge and irritate the skin of adjacent fingers. So, FI and I decided to have the wedding band custom made.
My band is 2.5mm; total carat weight is 0.50 ct. It has 9 diamonds (5~6 pointers), just enough to cover the top portion of my finger. I really liked how it came out. It's super comfortable, and it's much cheaper than an eternity band too. I think the price was around $1000 USD, but we had to have it made in platinum to match the e-ring. If you were looking for 14/18K white gold, that can lower the price tag too.
Hope I was of some help! Happy shopping! :D

Here's a better picture of my set. I think you'd be very happy with a shared prong diamond wedding band too. ♥ :)

Try this store on ebay, they are extremely well priced and have good feedback and reviews on a few other forums.

That is a stunning band! Where did you find it? My ring has some filigree on the sides and so few rings have it!

@Arcknitect: Thank you!  I found it at Market Square Jewelers in Portsmouth, NH. The band was antique, but only had a millgrain design. The jewelry store has an in-house engraver who was trained by Tiffany's. He chooses random pieces to hand engrave. I bought one of his pieces. So, the band is antique, but the engraving is new.

Definitely check ebay - I bought a few half-eternities to choose from  at great deals (some brand new, some preowned but in perfect condition) and just re-sold the ones that didn't work - still deciding between the one I kept and making one from the diamonds in a ring my FI's mother sent me... Any bees know anything about that process, of making a new ring with your own diamonds?

How about one like this?  Looks like 2 bands.. Plain and diamond.. And it is slightly curved to fit the bump some solitaires have.

For me, finding the perfect band was way harder than finding the perfect dress. I finally settled on a 2mm knife-edge platinum band from Tiffany's. It was around $700 and it is gorgeous. I didn't personally want diamonds on my band but I found that plain wedding bands generally looked clunky and wide. The knife-edge makes the band look super sleek and sexy and it matches my solitaire perfectly (even though my e-setting isn't a knife-edge). Anyway, it's worth a look and doesn't cost a fortune!
