Bellagiobride:  There is a +6 month thread for ladies who have been TTC for six months or more. I think they are very supportive, welcoming, and would love to chat with you! Best of luck to you, I hope you get pregnant very soon.

Bellagiobride:  I’m 35 so can relate. Since ypure only starting to use opks there’s every chance you had bad timing some of those months but it’s good to check it out. I would suggest temping too. Some don’t like it but I think its brillisnt.

I’m glad you are going to your doc. I would imagine at this stage they will do day 3 and 21 tests. I would suggest you also ask for AMH test. It checks your ovarian reserve. If all is good it means you’ve lots of time. If not it means taking action now instead of waiting. I would also suggest a semen analysis for your DH because it’s easy to rule out issues on his side.

I also agree with pp. Check out the 6+ thread, the ladies are great there 😀

Timing is everything when it comes to making a baby. And even with good timing, only a small percentage of the time does pregnancy actually happen. I have had plenty of unprotected sex without getting pregnant. If you want to get serious about figuring out what your cycles are doing and when you’re most fertile, I recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility and using a website like Fertility Friend to track your cycles. It is awesome for seeing what’s going on and pinpointing the best days to get it on! Good luck!!!

Bellagiobride: Yes, come join us on the 6+ thread, we’d love to have you! I know what you mean about having that niggling feeling – my DH and I are both in good health, in our late 20s, I’ve got regular periods, we’ve had some initial tests run and everything looks rosy…but after seven months of perfect timing, we’ve still failed to conceive. I know things can take time, but I just think really??? Have we just lucked out THAT many times?? Anyway – see you on the 6+ thread 🙂
