cornwallbee2015:  do you think that maybe these are knockoffs?  where are the dresses coming from?  maybe they are from a place in china that makes the reproductions.

if it sounds off, don’t do it.

I know this sounds weird but it works, ask them to take a pic with the dress and them holding a copy of the current New York Times with it…but yes ive seen similar scams on those sites, someone was trying to sell the vera wang dress from Bride Wars..infactvthis is prob the same dress you are talking about

WOW!!  Good work:)  yes it is really ashame they can not patrol the sellers on those sites better.  every single ad needs to be verified somehow.  Glad you did your homework and escaped the trap!

You can always ask her to skype with you. That way she can should you the dress in person and you can talk to her.
