@orchidaloha:  Were you printing programs or menus?  Have you applied for your marriage license (there is three day wait here in Florida)?  At this point you only need a few essentials to actually get married: 1) marriage license; 2) officiant to sign the license; 3) bride; and 4) groom (oh a witness or two if your state requires it.)  Everything else is extra.

Put together a packing list for wedding items that you need taken to the ceremony and reception sites and pack them in spearate boxes.  Put together a packing list of clothing and accessories you need for the wedding day (and honeymoon if you’re leaving right after the wedding) and pack everything a few days before the wedding.

Plan out whom is going to transport items to the wedding sites, whom is going to set things up, and whom is going to break things down (and whether you have to break things down the night of the wedding or when you have to be out the next day.)

Review vendor list and how much is owed to each vendor.  Have that amount prepared and ready in separate, labeled(!) envelopes so you can pay the vendors quickly on the day of.  Figure out whom is going to be available and responsible for paying the vendors on the day of.

We made a list a few months ago and hung it on our front door so we could be reminded daily of what needed to be checked off.  Now that we are only a few weeks out, we have written up a new list so we can check off things as we get them accomplished.  A lot of what we have left to do can’t be done until the week of the wedding once we’re in the beach house.  Thankfully we are checking in on the Monday before the wedding so I have a few days to get last minute things accomplished.

In regards to quitting your job, put in your two weeks notice as soon as you decide what you want your last day to be.

@orchidaloha:  Save yourself a headache by making a detailed inventory list for each box as you pack it and plaicng it on top of the box so you know what is in the box without tearing it apart looking for specific items.  Can you tell I like to make lists?  When I was in college I was an inventory clerk for closed files at a small company; they had no idea how much more efficient it was to create inventory lists for each storage box.
