I can't be the only March 3 bride, can I?
Hi! Me! 25 more days! *gasp*
There are a couple more March 3 brides, but I do think we're the least popular March date! hahah.
I'm soooo excited.
We still have a bit to do. I still need to get some extra tulle, still need to pick and finalize the music, still have 2 more sessions of pre-marital counseling, finish making our programs, one more photography meeting, decide on the seating chart issue - we can't decide if we're going to have one or not, my final hair trial, groomsmen gifts, and obviously all the week-of stuff like a manicure and that type of thing. :)
i'm not a march bride, but it is my birthday that day, so I am glad i can share a great date with u!
Me!
We still don't have all the stuff for the favors, we need table numbers, reserved signs (for ceremony & reception), centerpieces need to be put together (jus add water day of), we're still waiting on RSVP's for about 130 people (I can't decide if I even want to try calling them all), we need to still book our DJ, verify everything is set for our cake, figure out what we are doing for flowers since we changed our mind (last minute), there's some food items that need to be purchased, need to reserve the punch bowl, figure out the timeline for the day of... I'm sure there's more I just can't think of it right now.
Today I just finished the table number stands, the card box & the "bride" & "groom" signs I wanted for our chairs.
Plus of course, the week of stuff, mani & pedi with the girls, rehersal (plus any dinner or anything)...
Will it ever end?
@AmeliaBedelia: I hope you've been able to get on top of the last few things you had to do!
@mrspereznv: Wow, I thought I had a lot left to do! Good luck finishing all your projects. I can't imagine not having RSVPs back this close to the wedding. When was your response date? Best of luck... DJ and flowers left to figure out... I don't envy you.
I have a bit more DIY work to do on the guest book and I have to put together escort cards (and place cards, but just for the wedding party). We have more payments to make, and I've got one more fitting, but that's pretty much the rest of it.
Thanks, our response date was the 15th, which was yesterday. But my FI & I pretty much planned on this happening, we both know how our friends & family are. However, we are doing the food ourselves so we don't have to guesstimate or anything like that.
And now I feel so accomplished because today we got the DJ, verified the cake, figure out the seating plan (it's open seating, but I still wanted to have the layout of the tables figured out) got the table numbers & reserved signs for the reception. I know which florist we're using, and they said they only need 1 week to 2 days notice depending on the flowers we want, so I'm not worried about that.
I've DIY'd several things (our invites, thank you cards, all signage) and semi-DIY'd several other things like the bird cage thingy we got for cards. What do your escort cards look like? Pics?
My dress fittings are done. But we are still helping my FMIL find her dress.
15 days and counting...
@mrspereznv: Congrats on all the things you've gotten done in the past few days.
I finished our guest book today, and everything has been ordered for the escort cards. I still need to figure out place cards for select reserved seating, get a bucket to hold our wedding wands, and make a final decision on a ceremony program. We might make a sign, but we might just decide we don't care. I also need to finsih the sign for our guestbook and make a sign for the jar for cards on the gift table.
There are a few more payments to send off and I have to return my banquet order.
Last fintting is Tuesday.
I can't believe how close it is. I have one more week at work, and then it's down to SoFla to start the final preparations!
Just found this thread and less than 2 weeks before our big days! I still have to print our place cards, finish my crepe paper pomanders, the thank you cards for the bridesmaids and family, make the card box and finish the bridesmaids necklace...oh and bake 200 cookies and brownies for the dessert buffet...ahhhh!
@Alexis22: Have fun baking!
Oh my gosh, ladies, we're in the final week!
@brenda.m.fields: I know right?! I posted a thread about this! I know it never goes over well since there are like, what, 7 of us 3.3.12 ladies?? haha! Can't believe we are sooooo close. It feels like I just got engaged and that was a year ago now!
I'm always surprised there are so few of us. In Florida, this is major wedding season. Everyone around me (myself obviously included) either got married this weekend or is getting married in March or April, esp. March 3 and 10.
It's gone so fast. We've been engaged almost 9 months, and it's been a busy 9 months.
Just crossed "6" off my calendar... only a handful of days to go.
We're getting married in our home town, about 5 hours away, and tomorrow, we drive down in the morning, so today was spent cleaning the home, packing for the honeymoon, and packing for the pre-wedding days! Here's to hoping I didn't forget anything!

3/3/12 brides, we're in the final countdown! One month to go!
What do you still have left to do? I've got two more fittings, and I still have to decide if I want a sash (and get one ASAP if I do). I have all the supplies for our polaroid photo guest book, but I haven't put it together, and I only have have the stuff for the favors. And then there are all the final payments to be made :( ... the one ot my florist today in fact!
Oh, and there are about 15 RSVPs we're still waiting on, so calls need to be made this weekend.
