future.mrs.koban:  Awesome weightloss! You’ve done this before, so you def have what it takes to work even further towards your goals! I am also 5’8 and was 180lb. I lost about 15lbs in month one and about 15 more lbs in month two, for a total of 30 pretty quickly. It was at a health rate of about 2lbs a week on average. That was with a very strict diet and consistent weightlifting/cardio 4-6 times a week.

future.mrs.koban: My DH is the same way… Aren’t they awesome in that way?! I, personally, got addicted to health and nutrition as a result and continue to train regularly even a year later. However, 15 lbs will melt right off if you get back in the zone. Remember (I’m sure you do) how the first couple of weeks are all mental and totally brutal as far as clean eating goes! Just get through that and you’re good. A month or two isn’t long, girl! Just take it a day at a time, and it flies by.

Also a side note, I made it very clear to my hubs that I wanted him to keep me in line with my diet regimen. It was hard for him. However, if I wanted to cheat he would stop me and try to remind me of my goals and suggest healthier alternatives. Sometimes I pouted, but it really worked awesome. He also made a point to eat healthier around me, too, so that I wasn’t as tempted.

I would do a low carb diet. Many studies show it’s healthier & more effective than counting calories. My mom is your size & height & loses about 6 pounds in the first week of doing it. Most people do!

Ive been trying it & my meals are something like-

vegtable omelet w bacon

salad or egg salad or turkey roll ups

cheese sticks & jerky for a snack

or celery & peanut butter

grilled chicken/steak/or ground turkey with grilled veggies & salad

future.mrs.koban:  to make it work you really need to try to stick to 20-40 carbs a day! I find that all the protein keeps me really full!

future.mrs.koban:  My 30 day record is around 12 pounds. It came about through a minimum of 40 minutes of exercise/day, eating 1200 calories, and only eating lean proteins/fruits/veggies/limited whole grains. Easy peasy, lemon squeazy.

future.mrs.koban:  mine’s about 8lb, but a) I’ve never crash-dieted and b) at my heaviest I was 144lbs at 5’7″ ie not very heavy, and the smaller you are the slower you lose weight generally speaking.

I don’t have weight numbers but I went from barely squeezing into a size 8 to a comfortable size 4 in a month (I am 5’3).  I used a combo of slim fast and clear soups and no, I didn’t put it all back. I only put on weight during the winter, it is very easy for me to maintain my weight during the summer.
