I have a good idea on what we're going to do with photography.  But I need opinions one last time on our two top choices since nobody I ask in family/friends really knows (unless someone who charges twice as much decides to give us a discount...unlikely though).  Here are our top two choices and details.

    #1:

    www.childcreations.com

$1275 for five hours plus disk - $1625 for seven hours plus disk (for comparison).  In the city we'll be married in.

    #2:

    www.sabreehillphotography.com

    Also: sabreehill.zenfolio.com

$1035 for seven hours plus disk as well as an engagement session ($910 for seven hours plus disk, no engagement).  About an hour and a half from where we are but no real big travel fees (travel fees worked into the price above).

Sorry for posting so much on this topic I just want to get it resolved.

Is there anything you really don't like about one of them? Do you get the CD with the 2nd one? That was my biggest concern- getting the rights.

You get the cd in both prices.  And in the second one we could retake engagement pictures (our first ones were ok but not outstanding in my opinion).  The first one I love the colors and she's from Charleston (where we're getting married) so she may or may not know the area better but I also love the pictures of the second one and she's $600 less.

Also, it may help us to be able to get a videographer for the ceremony with the extra money if that helps at all.

This is like the 4th or 5th post I remember of your asking about photographers. My opinion? You've done the research, trust your gut. YOU will be the one looking at the pictures every day, not us. Which means you really really just need to go with your gut and pick your favorite.

You mention childcreations in every post about this...so why not go with them?

In the last post, I said chi photography--still my opinion.  Honestly, you need to pick b/c it's your and your Fiance's wedding, not ours ;)

I prefer the first, but it doesn't really matter what we all think!  Did you meet with both?  You said you love the photos of the second photographer, so if you met/talked with her and you felt comfortable with her, then I would save the money and go with her.  Good luck!  :)

I know I need to pick.  It's just the thing that's bugging me the most right now because everyone here says "well if it's cheaper and you get more, why would you not go with them?" and doesn't really give an opinion.  The main reason I made this last one is because I found the second one just last night when looking one more time just to make sure.  I was just wanting to see if there was anything standing out about either one that makes them lesser quality than the other one.  Thanks again.

@mandb122: The reason no one gives an opinion is because photography is one of those things where you either like the person's style or you don't. We can't speak for you--it's up to you and your FI.

Okay this might sound weird, but I don't feel like child creations did a good job focusing on the rings at all under the details tab. You seem to like them though...so it really comes down to personal preference...would you rather save the money and get videography? Or get a photographer you really like? I personally am not having videography because I can't afford to have really good professionals in both. So I'd rather use the money to get the best photos possible since I know I probably won't watch a wedding video much.

It's not really style I'm asking opinion on I guess is what I mean.  I'm wondering if anyone sees anything overtly bad about technique that I may miss because I'm not really super artistic that I may not notice now but will notice when it's my pictures.  I've tried asking my fiance, my mom, my brother, etc but everyone is only really paying attention to prices so I'm seeing if anyone here notices anything.  I know we pick the style but I'm not super great at seeing technique problems until they're in my own pictures (we had this issue with engagement pictures).

Thats why I was saying the thing about the rings...I don't think they did that good of a job on those shots...That's the main thing I noticed. Also, I would make sure they're comfortable telling you good poses and things like that.
