Sorry gals, I stayed up late last night messing around with the invite. After it was suggested that I layer the response cards witht he flourish - but have it evenly appear when you look at it - I fell in love with the idea. However the time it would take to do it with a hand stamp and embossing powder andheat gun - I thought about making the whole ivite in PS and here's what I came up with.
I like number 1 better. To me it looks more professional. If I had my choice..I would choose number 1 but with the wording all on the right (like in number 2).
Where did you find your flourish? I've been looking for some good ones but haven't been having much luck.
Deonise - I haven't used anything permanant yet as I'm still doing mock ups - but I will more then likely use Tombo Mono Adhesive, permanant. The blue dispenser.
My pocketfolds are already "together" when I get them so I don't have to stick the pocket up or anything, just the 2 peices of cardstock to the main part of the invite.
I've used it in scrapbooking and other projects before, and it's very good.
number 1, with right justified text. still think that a little bit of flourish on the cards would be a nice touch, but can understand the pain of extra work!! unless you could do it in PS rather than hand stamping....?
Sweeney2Be - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! You have no idea how happy I am right now!!! I'm dead tired (trying to get all my work finished up before Christmas) but I can't sleep at all because I'm so excited about my invites. I googled Designer Digitals and after looking at some of the pictures, found the exact flourish I'm looking for! I think it's from the same package as yours - Hipster Plumes No. 18.
I 'stole' the image for my mock-up (by right clicking and copying) but I plan to buy the real one to do up my invites. It says I'll get the image in abr and png format. If I'm doing my layout in Microsoft Publisher, will those formats work for me?
#1 looks awesome! Looks a little more professional to me! DIY projects like these definately take so much more time than one my think! But your work was definately worth the effort. Beautiful!

So #1
Or # 2 (the one from yesterday)
Gah - I dunno, I like 'em both! I think I like #2 better, but only a smidge better. #1 is also gorgeous.
Welcome back to the boards by the way, it's been so quiet without you :P

What glue are you using?
posted by Deonise 7 months ago#1 if the writing can be moved to the right instead of centered. otherwise, i like #2 better.
