Hello Bees!I have narrowed down my choice for my Bridesmaids to a one shoulder long chiffon dress Mori Lee 655. One issue that one of my BMs is having is that she is big busted and is concerned about the dress. She had planned on having a breast reduction surgery but has postoned it. She is unsure when she’ll have it and I’m planning on the BMs ordering their dresses by the middle of Jan 2013. Have any of you chosen a one-shoulder dress for the BMs and had a Bridesmaid or Best Man with big breasts? How did it turn out? Did you have to add a strap to the other side, use a shawl cover up, got a strapless bra added to the dress? I’m open to all suggestions.

I would suggest getting a strapless bra for her, they come in quite large sizes

How big is she? I have double d’s and worn a one shoulder without any issues. I got sized and buy a really great strapless bra even though it’s a little bit expensive.
However if she is getting a breast reduction I’m guessing her boobs must be really big. If that is case, strapless bra may not give the support she needs. I think the easy solution would be to just order her a dress with two straps.
If you like a uniform look, then order two straps for everyone else as well. This seem like something she doesn’t have control over, so I think it’s just easier to do that.

I have never found a one shoulder dress that doesn’t make my large bust like like I have one giant uniboob. That said, I can wear a strapless and everything stays up, but it’s just not very flattering. I would definitely look for another option for your bridesmaid because if her chest is large enough to need a reduction, I can’t imagine that dress will flatter her at all.

I have a large chest and one shoulder is flattering on me. More than strapless for sure.

Great suggestions ladies! I’m thinking of just having the straps added to the other shoulder of her dress, but we will see what the retailer suggests after the measurements are taken.

She may do better with a longline bra that a regular strapless bra if her girls need some extra support. Likely, the dress won’t be that flattering on her though.

All my girls had one shoulder dresses, 2 of the 3 were busty, (DD or E cups) as theirs were a sweetheart neckline it got rid of the uniboob look. Also I am an F cup and with a decent bra (ordered offline is way cheaper – I do it through measurements) I feel supported enough in one shoulder dresses. Try on the dress and see, another strap CAN be added easy enough if that would make her more comfortable.
EDIT to add a pic from my file (I can’t upload few ones from my iPad) (this Bridesmaid or Best Man is approx a DD)

Thanks for the picture! Her dress looked beautiful on her. We will see about the longline bra as well. I am not sure what bra size she wears but we will do whatever it takes to get her in the dress and for her to feel comfortable and beautiful in it.
