SunnierDaysAhead:  I haven’t seen a one shoulder wedding dress in a few years. But, one of my friends wore one for her wedding about 4 ot 5 years ago and it was beautiful. I have 2 BMs wearing one shoulder dresses, I like the look of them. If you find one you love, I say go for it! Since you are curious, def try one on!

I don’t think they’re “on trend” but I don’t think they look “dated” either. I think it’s a very modern look and perhaps just a more difficult one to pull off. David’s Bridal just used a photo of a 1 shoulder dress today in a promotional email!

They never date.  The one shoulder look has been popular since the 1930s.  A classic look.

observer:  I agree.  Trendy and dated are not the only options in style.  There is a lot of in between.  Certain styles/necklines can be trendy (sweetheart strapless), but that doesn’t mean ALL the others are dated.

I had a one shouldered dress!  People told me over and over how timeless I looked, and the words “Greek goddess” were used by a number of guests.  One shouldered dresses experienced some popularity 5-6 years ago, but they do not look dated despite that.  (I don’t have any good photos yet since the wedding was Saturday, but I can post some when I do!)

Hello I am a bridal dress consultant and I thought I might recommend a few one shoulder dresses I have personally seen on brides that you may want to look into. I find there is something so fashion forward about one shoulder gowns, so trendy!
