I really wish I had an extra $1000 for a photobooth.  I know a few people had one and I love the idea.  Oh well...

I wish I could afford a designer dress.  I am in love with a few Christos dresses, but they're WAY out of my measley $500 dress budget...

@yrret107: have you thought of a faux booth? just use a backdrop and buy cute props (check garage sales, thrift stores, etc) if you already have a digi camera, you could just use your printer to print out the pix.

Yeah, uh.. I want both!  Lol.  A designer dress and the photobooth!  I think I could of gotten the dress, had I not decided early on to be modest and gotten the dress I liked at the time, and now every day I'm like.... hmmm, is this REALLY the dress I'm supposed to wear?

The photobooth is fun!  Ya never know, maybe there will be a lil extra money in your budget?

The only thing I wish we could afford is an open bar.  We can only manage hosted beer and wine and we're on a strict budget so there's no way it'll happen, but if a wedding fairy would grant me any wish, it'd be for an open bar.

I wish we could afford a wedding coordinator.  Hahaha.  If we had a few thousand more, then I would have hired someone else to do all of the worrying.

I wish we could afford a trolley.  Our entire bridal party and immediate families could fit, and it would make for such cute pictures!  We'd be driving around in our historic downtown area...le sigh.  Trolleys are triple the price of limos around here, though.

It's not something I really wish I could afford but I wish there was a PRETTY reception site AVAILABLE.  I'm getting married in my hometown (pop. 502) so we don't have a lot of options for reception venues.  We're having our reception at the local VFW which isn't the prettiest place in the world.  We're trying to figure out how to decorate the walls and hide the gun cabinets.  LOL.....Ahhh....THIS is WHY I got the hell outta there and now live in Chicago!!  There's actually CIVILIZATION here!!  LOL

I wish we could afford a Big Band instead of a DJ for the reception.  I love live music.  We are doing a string quartet for the ceremony, though!

It's hard to pick one thing, but I think a co-ordinator would be at the top of my list too.  Someone else to do some of the worrying would be nice!

A Doc and a little more money on the honeymoon. I wish my venue had more hors d oeurve choices but they don't so money can't help that.

I really wish we could have afforded the photobooth, too. The "faux"tobooth for us wasn't feasible (more like, we didn't want to put the effort into draping the fabric and setting up a camera).

When people ask me, "what's the one thing you wish you had done at your wedding" it's the ONLY thing that comes to mind (that I could control, anyway). Looking back, I think we should have adjusted our budget to get one. It would be so nice to have those pictures for a scrapbook, as I'm sure our photographer wasn't able to get a picture of everyone.

I would also love a photobooth.  I don't quite get how the "faux booth" works.  Do you just upload the pictures later? Or do you have them print out as they are taken?

I wish we could afford open bar all night or a videographer!!  Our venue is pricey (about $120 per guest), and as much I love our venue sometimes I wish that I had gone somewhere cheaper, so we could afford a little more.

I wish we could've had a videographer.  Our friend did record everything for us, but it's still not the same as those fancy movies that I've seen of other weddings!

Photobooth...sigh.  It is something I really wanted early on and tried to book it but FI vetoed it...I do agree, it's spendy for what it is, but still...and then, we were gonna DIY it, but then I kinda fizzled out on that, too.  It's a struggle to find a fine line between low-key and fun/quirky sometimes.  Hehe.  Okay, not an actual "struggle" but y'know.  It might still happen.

But to echo other bees...omg, yes, a band would be amazing.  Specifically, The Dan Band (lol) or someone awesome and chill like Sondre Lerche / Matt Nathanson / Jason Mraz / Jack Johnson style.

haha... my gut response was: MY WEDDING!!

I really wish I could have afforded the venue of my dreams.  It has a 50K minimum price tag on it (that's just for reception related things) and there's no way I could afford (or be willing to spend) that much for a one-day party.

A wedding coordinator, hands down.  Between my stressful job and wedding planning I am going crazy.  I wish I could have someone else tackle all the wedding stuff so all I had to do was pick which entree I liked or which tone of pink I preferred.

You can definitely do it for less than $1000!  We did ours for the price of the fabric backdrop and a chalkboard I bought at Goodwill!  But we did have an awesome couple of friends who set up their digi camera, tripod, and lighting for us.  But seriously, you don't even have to be that fancy with it!  Just a tripod and a good ole point and shoot would work.

To answer your question, I wish we had had money for a videographer.

I've got two: First, I wish I could afford an open bar...probably not going to happen. I'm crossing my fingers that we'll at least get SOME sort of alcohol! And second, I totally wish we could afford some crazy-amazing letterpress invites.

I'm also dying for a photobooth -- a REAL photobooth where people can pull the little curtain and get their picture taken a la Paris Photomatons and Amelie (one of my favorite movies!).  I'm sure we will end up going for the fauxtobooth, which will be great as well, but in a different way...

for the fauxtobooth ladies, if you are hiring a lighting company, check with them to see if they have a green screen, they can definitely still put you wherever you'd like to be and it may be cost effective.. if this is important to you, definitely go for it and cut corners somewhere else if you can...
