Here is my engagement ring with either one band or two bands. I like symmetry, but I feel like two bands might be too much for my short fingers. No matter what I’m going to get them sized up so they won’t be so tight on my fingers. What do you think?

I never knew some women wore two bands before I saw pictures of rings here. It’s up to you of course but to me it seems like the symbolism of the wedding ring is watered down with two bands. It just seems like each person should have one wedding ring. I vote for symbolism over symmetry.

i like it both ways. your fingers don’t look that short. if you can still bend your knuckle, you’re good to go. 🙂

I prefer one, but I am less into bling than some folks If it were my ring and I really wanted symmetrical bands I would get something more plain, but it certainly works either way, it just depends on your style preference

Either way it’s beautiful. For me, I would wear my e ring with one band though. But if you like a bolder look, you should choose both bands.

With your ring, I prefer one band.

I voted for the one band because I like it best with your ering. And later you can always get a second band for an anniversary!

Thanks for all the comments! I had all 3 bands custom made together for the symmetry, but the more I try them all together the more I think it’s too much. Each band is 2mm, but although each band by itself is thin, together 6mm is really thick (and surprisingly heavy). Maybe if the 2 bands were 1.5-1.8mm wearing all of them at once wouldn’t seem like so much. I still have a year to decide, but I think I’ll go with one band and my e-ring for the ceremony and then in the coming years maybe I can start wearing the second one. (Or for nights when I want to feel fancy!)
