I had my dress altered to fit with a little bit of wiggle room about a month before the wedding. Went to get dressed on wedding day and it hung off me! I’d lost weight! I don’t know how considering how much crap I ate :/ I hope you can fit into it!

@ChellFish22:  oo. I read your post, but forgot the title! A week is plenty of time if you cut out the salt as well. You can lose some fat for sure… but you could also lose a lot of bloating in water weight by drinking tons of water and cutting the salt. Eat really cleanly and I promise it will help! Thats what I had to do for my wedding!

@ChellFish22:  If you just need to lose and inch or so off your waist you might try a natural tummy tuck massage. I saw a woman test it on a tv show and she lost a couple of centimeters off her waist and hips as the result of 1 massage. It might help you fit your dress.

Basically subsist off of fresh vegetables and beans for protein. Like tons of spinach, lettuce, bell peppers etc. Nooo salt, junk food, sugar or booze and you will be golden.  I ran off an unexpected lb or so in the 2 days before my wedding because I DIY’d so much stuff. It will be perfect. Do not worry!

Have you thought about getting a second opinion from a different seamstress? or is it a set in stone kind of thing?

You could also try a waist cincher. They’re uncomfortable as hell but it will tuck you in.

The belly/waist is the easiest place to trim of you cut out salt. Good luck!

@ChellFish22:  you can do it.  drink plenty of water, eat lean protiens, lots of veggies and cut out the salt.

Can you put on waist-tucking spanx and call it a day? I don’t think they go up that high.
