Wow, can you believe it?!?!  We're just one week away!! Eeek!!!

I'm feeling really excited and surprisingly calm. Who knows how long THAT will last, ha.

What do you have left to do before the big day? My list:

    • Buy ribbon to edge the chuppah
    • Make rhubarb crisp for friend who volunteered to sew my chuppah (LIFE. SAVER.)
    • Take FI to buy shirt and tie
    • Bring him to my folk's place so he can set up the sound system
    • Finalize ceremony
    • Draw up day-of schedule
    • Buy thank-you gifts for parents
    • Confirm the hotel shuttle
    • Clean the house for friend who will be catsitting while we're away
    • Laundry

I was busy today getting my pedicure and making mints for our reception! I am getting really excited, but also getting more stressed by the minute. I still need to:

-Finalize the details of the rehearsal dinner with the restaurant

-Figure out how many guests are staying in the hotel and make welcome bags

-Check in with the flower shop about the final details

-Stop by our reception venue and bring the favors and decorations, get things set up

-Final hair trial and highlights on Monday

-Write thank yous to the wedding party

-Make sure the wedding party has all the details and will show up on time!

-Obsessively check the weather reports daily

-Tie ribbons on our programs and place cards

    -Pack for wedding night

    -Get some sleep!

Luckily I have the whole week off to get everything done and try to relax a bit!

I am here and shouldn't be.

    I yet to:

    • finalize the menu
    • pick up the last of the liquor
    • get my dress bustled
    • pray my veil makes it here in time
    • get FHs suit cleaned
    • finish my bouquet
    • final meeting with the DOC
    • programs
    • make the favors
    • and finally bang my head on my keyboard until everything I need to finish is magically done without me

I'm good.  And bad.  And calm, and crazy.  :)

Tonight I'm cutting and assembling labels for our candy/dessert buffet and finishing cake garland.

Tomorrow I'm packing all that crap up.

Monday I'm taking it all to work/our venue and going over final setup info with colleagues.  Then laundromat and then ironing FIs shirt.

FI is being kidnapped in a little bit for some bachelor party type nonsense.

Tuesday/Wednesday I'll be working like crazy so I can be off with a clear conscience!

Thursday I'm working until the afternoon, then driving 2 hours to pick up a lot f the desserts from my mom and packing.

Friday I'm moving into the hotel and setting up with colleagues... rehearsal... then casual dinner.... the OMFG IT WILL BE SATURDAY!!!

Only other little things i need to do are print out the addresses we need for the honeymoon and making a packing list for the honeymoon.

    I can't believe it's a week from today!

@ashlee2103: lol checking the weather obsessively.  Me too!

My parents are arriving into town today and I'm so excited!  I don't have too much left to do.  Pick up my dress, take the alcohol and decor to the venue, print and cut the escort cards, get my nails done.  It's almost here!

@tksjewelry: Dry as of yet! Thanks for the Shakespeare rec - it would be good to do something sane at least one night! :) I'll let you know if I can force myself to stop doing wedding tasks. :)

@noodlesploosh: Are you in Omaha yet?  I am keeping my fingers crossed that the levies hold in CB for another week.  Our venue is in flood zone 1, so I am a bit panicked right now, I swear I will send the guys to sandbag in their tuxes if I have too, LOL.

    I still have to:

    • Make the programs (but they're already designed, so it should hopefully be as simple as printing them out and glueing them on the backings I've already made)
    • Make the seating cards (again, printing)
    • Have my mother try to tweak in my dress (it's a little loose in the bust)
    • Have the flowers delivered on Thursday, and put flowers together on Saturday.
    • Pick up the cake and cupcakes to deliver to the venue on Friday.
    • Pack for the honeymoon

I keep on switching between excited and nervous...is anyone else having trouble eating?  lol

I was working last night until 12:30 trying to finish everything up!!

The only 'project' type things I have left is to wrap the guys ties and socks, the flower girl gifts (assuming they come in the mail!), meet my mom to get all the baked goods, change my toe polish and pack.

    And breathe.

:) Craziness!  4 days to go!!!

I may even take a peek at the weather forecast.

    Roll my programs into scrolls

Stick labels on my favor boxes

stick labels on my bridal party gifts

    Pick up my dress

and then wait for the big day!!!

oh, you're reminding me that I also have to put the favor tags on the favors, wash anything coming into contact with food (toasting flutes, cake knife, plates for the cupcakes and the cake stand), iron the napkins for the table, and put labels on everything so that they can be accounted for at the end of the evening.

bells: I'm fighting a cold off with all my power right now.  I'm taking vitamin c and zinc in the hopes that it does something.  I hope yours blows over before Sunday!
