So by this time next week I will be married, and probably dancing the night away. I am actually less nervous the past week then I have been in a long time. Although I feel like I’m forgetting to do so many things. I still have not wrote a speech, sen the D.J. our music, and a couple of other little things. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but I have that weird feeling that I’m going to forget something major.
This wedding planning has been a lot of stress and the year has had it’s major up’s and downs. I realized who my Fiance and I could count on. He ended up having a falling out with two of his groomsmen, who ended up not being good friends after all. Did anyone else have the same kind of issues?
I’m not really the normal type of girl who dreams of her wedding day when she was little, but now that it is getting so close, I am really excited, and hoping it will be a great day. Does anyone have any good pointers or tips from their wedding day?

I don’t have any tips or anything but I just wanted to send you good vibes and you sound really calm and relaxed which is awesome!
I hope your day is everything you dreamed!!!!

Next week you are going to have the most wonderful time of your life!
I also had a falling out with a bridesmaid, which was a blessing in disguise. Oddly enough it’s times like these when – as you said – you figure out who you and your Fiance can count on.
Sending good thoughts!!!

I haven’t had my wedding yet–it’s the day before yours, but just think positively and everything will work out fine. There are always going to be problems that arise–we lost a groomsman and a bridesmaid after a fallout, we’re having issues with our centerpieces and reception coordinator, but we know all well fall into place in the end! I firmly believe that all things happen for a reason. We found out who our real friends were in this process, and even though it hurt to lose them at the time, I am counting my blessings for the awesome friends we have that will be standing beside us on our big day 🙂

I too am getting married 9/26, and have had my ups and downs in the process. I alternate between calm, excitement, and I admit it…fear!!! For me, the wedding planning process has been pretty stressful, a series of hurdles that led to relief and peace once they were passed, but always leading to the next one. I also never dreamt about my wedding day, or had much vision of it, yet it’s still super important to me, so putting it together was more difficult I think.
It’s interesting to hear from some of you how you learned “who your real friends are.” I realize now that I have too. There has been serious tension with some of my bridesmaids. There have been those that calmly accepted that I dropped off the face of the earth due to wedding planning (combined with stressful job!), did not complain and were there when I needed them. And there were those who always complained they did not see me, or glared at me balefully when they did. Now I realize the latter are those who were really not supportive of me during this time. Sigh.
Anyway, I am up late unable to sleep tonight and I wanted to wish GOOD LUCK to all the 9/26 brides out there…I’ll be thinking of you, LoveH, let me know how it goes!

It’s wierd that sometimes the happiest times of our lives tend to show us who’s really supportive. Good luck, happy vibes, and *hugs* for your wedding!

While I have yet to have my “big day” I have been in enough weddings to know this… Don’t stress ANYTHING! You probably have that one perfect friend who knows you well enough to know what you need to know and what you don’t. Trust her or them if you have more then one to ensure that everything is taken care of.
My best friend told me that because she knew we all had it covered she was totally stress free! What a great gift to give someone on their wedding!
Enojoy the small moments that are going to happen and just enjoy the time before the wedding with those closest to you and then enjoy being married and a wife!
Drink it all in and just relax and be happy!
Good luck and don’t forget pictures!!
