Hi Bees! I still lurk occasionally (this site is an addiction I swear) and I have noticed a lot of ladies reconsidering their engagments recently and I thought I would update on my situation.
Some of you may remember my story about my crazy EX Fiance. It was a very hard decesion to leave him and at times it was even harder not to go back because I was lonely and it was very difficult to break out of my routine and what I knew, but I am so so thankful that I did.
1. After the breakup he really showed his true colors and stalked me for about 3 months. Sending me nasty messages accusing me of cehating on him if I went on a date, showing up at my house, trying to keep in touch with my family… Yikes.
2. I discovered that I am a badass lady. I planned a month long trip to Australia in 2 weeks and just got on a plane and went backpacking. What?! I am so proud of my self for going and it was one of the single greatest expirences of my life and it never would have happened with an overbearing man still in my life
3. I met a wonderful man who is so supportive. I guess you don’t really know how bad it is until you have something better. No yelling at me when I “mess up”, No name calling, no belittling. Really not even much fighting (of course their are some disagreements).
I am so happy bee’s I am a differnt person than I was a year ago and things are only getting better for me. I do not regret my break for one second. I am obviously no longer planning a wedding but I will be back someday and I will get to be one of the Ladies who is totally sure in my choice of Fiance and actually have a good time plnning this time around!
And if you are thinking of leaving and all you need is a push? You should go. Before you get married and it gets much worse. There is someone for you out there and you won’t ever find them if you’ve settled for something you know in your heart is wrong
ETA: Oh goodness the iphone typos! Will try to fix!

That’s great! Thank you for sharing your story.
I love it when ladies come back and give us an update after they have broken their engagements and left their fiancées or boyfriends. It shows the Bees who want to leave their SOs, but are too afraid to, that leaving a bad situation may be difficult, but that it is worth it. It makes it very clear that being single is not bad, and that in order to get the right mate, you have to let go of the wrong one.
I’m very glad things are going so well for you. I hope that trend continues.
