I ordered a dress from Romanticgowns.com and I just got it today and it's beautiful! What online site are you thinking of using?
Jeff Liu (April Bridal on Ebay) has good reviews if you are looking for something custom made to measurements. Light in the box also does custom work.
Depending on what you are looking for there are a few vintage inspired sites like Vivien of Holloway, Whirling Turban, and Dolly Couture.
I have seen the name Milly Bridal thrown around the 'bee a lot as an online dress site.
Also if you haven't already there are sites like Oncewed, preownedweddingdresses and recycled bride for used wedding dress where you might find something that has been discontinued by a designer.
Hope that helps.
I would just say to be sure you've tried on gowns in similar shapes, even if you don't like the exact elements of the gown you try on. Shapes I thought would look bad on me looked great and unfortunately, vice versa. So even if you can't find the exact dress you want, just be sure you know what will look good on you and not just what you love objectively! I am torn right now because I ordered my dress online (used) and now that it is here, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress itself, but I am not entirely sure about the fit/cut yet. Spare yourself the agonizing like I am doing haha. Good luck!
I ordered my online. Make sure to do your research there are a lot of "replica" sites, that some people have been happy with, but if you're set on a designer make sure its from a reputable seller. I ordered mine online, haven't got it yet. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
i agree with Amaryllis make sure you find the correct shape dress for you body in stores before ordering online. Many times its the gowns you love the most that end up looking terrible on you. My friend is a size 30 but still found dresses she could try on and was able to get the right shape for her body type down. good luck :)
Thanks for the suggestions! I never thought dress shopping would be this much of a pain. lol I need to figure out what I'm doing ASAP because the wedding is exactly 6 months to the day from this Thursday. EEEEK! starting to stress a little. lol

So I have decided that I am going to order my dress online. I am a plus size girl and can't find a dress that I like in the stores at all. Is that a bad thing? I have several people who can alter the dress when I get it, but I'm kinda nervous about it. I found a dress that I LOVE online but it's not in the stores anywhere. Any thoughts?
