So we decided to do an online rsvp option. It saves on postage, is easier for guests and for us, and is super simple, right?
I used wix.com, and used their “contact us” form as our RSVP. You can go to our website to see what I’m talking about (www.chrisandcecelia.com)
Well, people are responding with the words only “RSVP” and their name. I’ve had to email 3 people ask ask-who are they-are they coming-and how many.
If you use online rsvp: learn from me. Be more specific.

@MissFireFlower: I also have considered online RSVP. I’d never imagine this sort of issue! Now I may reconsider. How on earth would someone not think to include their name and number of attendees when RSVPing, regardless of the platform?!

@LostInWonderland: People are stupid. It’s a side effect of being human lol

@LostInWonderland: right?!? So frustrating.

@MissFireFlower: I remember one of my friends did online RSVP and it was more like a pull down menu. As a matter of fact, you type your name and it looks through the guest list and pulls up your inform. Theil just like a form you enter how many guests and their names.
i forgot what platform they used, but it was really convenient!

@irishphoenix: LOL! Valid argument!

I did online rsvp as well, but just a bit different, I set up a new email account, and just put that, along with our phone number (for non computer people) I’ts worked out great! out of all of the replies, we only had to clarify on one of them…

We used wedding window and the RSVPs tallied on the website guest list page so there was never a question of who or what the answer was. We did have trouble because MrWoW mis-spelled some of his guests’ names and they couldn’t find themselves though!

Wedding Window also has an option where you can assign a password to each RSVP so when they put their code in it pulls up their RSVP – I’m not sure which upgrade package it’s in, but my friend used that and it worked really well.
Wedding Wire has a free option where guests put their name and it pulls it up – as PP mentioned though, spelling matters!
