I ordered a Dessy bridesmaid dress from weddingshoppeinc and the dress was spot on for what we ordered. The only issue we had was that we didn’t check the sizing and ended up ordering the wrong size. Not much to be done about it though because it was a custom color dress, so she’s probably going to order a different dress (paying better attention to the measurements this time!)

I’d vote for Wedding Shoppe Inc based on the fact that it’s actually a real store, that you can walk into, in St. Paul MN (that just happens to have a more expansive online selection. I bought my dress there (in person), and I trust them.

Wedding Shoppe is legit. I wasn’t terribly impressed with my bridal appointment there, but I did try on Allure dresses and they were definitely the real deal.

@Eckle:  Hah, I actually bought an Allure dress there! But yeah, a lot of the bridal dressing areas are really small and cramped. I lucked out because I knew someone working there, so I got a huge private room with a couch. Otherwise it probably would have sucked.

@missmess:  I had the entire plus size section to myself. I’m a street size 12 and it didn’t feel very good to be banished across the street from all of the other brides who were there that day. My consultant was also pretty useless when it came to suggestions and she asked me some really inappropiate personal questions. It almost seemed as if it was her summer job rather than something she was trying to be professional at.

@LoveLaceandWine:  Do you mean, do they have all of the dresses on the website, in all of the sizes on the website, in stock? No, not even close. It’s a pretty small place, based out of 3 old houses, so it’s not a warehouse situation (it’s on Grand Ave in St. Paul, if you’re familiar with the area – most of the businesses are housed in old pretty houses). They have samples, but not of everything on the website. You’d be best served picking a few favorites and calling and asking if they’re in stock.

@LoveLaceandWine:  They have some in stock but I’d call ahead and make sure since their location isn’t that big and I don’t think they have cash and carry. We had to order ours and it takes several months to get them and we had to call over a month ahead to get an appointment, but you can try.
