@Jesserlynn:  You definitely need to try dresses on. There’s dresses I loved that the shape didn’t flatter me. Or it looked lightweight but in reality were heavy with a satin lining. I personally wouldn’t be able to buy a dress I hadn’t tried on, even if i knew the silhouette would work for me.

You should definitely try on dresses on before buying them online. There were dresses that I tried on that looked similar on the rack, but looked different when I tried them on. I also learned that pictures that you see online do not do justice compared to what they look like in real life. It is worth spending time searching for THE perfect dress before you make a big investment and order online.

I’d try dresses on locally so that you can get a very good idea about what suits you. Then you aren’t taking such a risk by buying online.

Definetly go and try dresses on instore. Instead of taking risks with online shopping.
