I'm trying to re-do the to-do list, but some things left are escort cards (have to wait for the remaining RSVPs out there) and figuring what tables everyone will be sitting at.
Also have to do seating chart for rehearsal dinner, finish getting gifts for the ushers, wrap all of the gifts for everyone, dress fitting next week, & find flats for reception.
Saving the favor making and OOT box assembly for next month.
I was actually hit with a major stress headache this morning because I am starting to feel panicky about how close April is! My biggest stress is getting rid of stuff and starting to move into my fiance's house. I have a pretty long to-do list, but most of it is pretty small (find shoes, finalize honeymoon, figure out who's officially coming, etc...). We're having a small wedding so I don't have as much to do as most people, but I'm still stressing. I wish I could be excited, but I'm more excited for when it's all over and being married feels like my normal life.
I am flying out to sonoma next week for hair trial and final rundown with all the vendors. Yay!!!
@cafegirl: I had that hit this morning! It feels like there is so much left to do.
Somedays I wish I had my FI's opinion of the wedding. " The food could taste awful, no one could show up, there could be a blizzard on our wedding day (Which in MI is always an option), We could have absolutely nothing go right on our wedding day, but you know it would be the best day of my life because at the end of it, no matter how the wedding goes I get to have you as my wife." When he gets like that, it helps me remember why I decided to go through all this wedding stuff to begin with. Ever wish you had just eloped? ha ha.
@Mochacoca: I'm getting married in Sonoma too! Where is your venue?
We're having RSVPs slowly trickle in, my fitting is Saturday, meeting with the florist and harpist the following weekend and the photographer the next one. My shower is on March 6. Everything else is DONE. Done!!
Ack, so excited!!!!
Oh man!! so much to do!
-my second fitting is coming up on the 27th of feb.
-FI ordered his wedding band and mine is currently being made.
-bridal shower and bachelorette party are finalized for march 19th and April 2nd.
-right now I am working on bridesmaid gifts...cant decide between a custommade make up bag or jewelry for the wedding.
-I scheduled my hair trial and make up trial for March 16th...which is also the day of my bridal portraits
We sent the invites out on tuesday...woohoo! I got my wedding shoes...
we met with the officiant and finalized our catering menu.
lots of progress!!! still SOO Much to do!
@Ms.Teddy: Sounds like you are really getting there though!
It is so exciting to be so close to the day. A little nerve racking, but exciting non the less!
Hi - Excited, exhausted... went for alterations today; my dress is done next week! RSVPs are starting to come in, vendors are booked, now it's time for getting things finalized with vendors. Not doing e-pics until next month, but doing them! Booking hotels, planning honeymoon, guys have to get their clothing (slackers)... just busy. Yikes!
AHHHHH, can't believe it!
I need to
Make table name cards (Our centerpieces will be beta fish and each one will be named after a vacation spot we've been to)
Start buying decorative rocks, lotus bowls and fish for centerpiece
Assign guests to table
Meet/Secure Dj (appointment next Wednesday)
Get/make/otherwise acquire a Wedding Day Card box
Get guestbook picture frame
Get favors
Put together goodie bags for my two "unofficial bridesmaids"
ANNNNNNNNNND, I think that's IT!!!! With 6 weeks to go until wedding festivities start
@karenski: It is busy! Our boys have their outfits, but now we just have to start cracking down on them paying for them( When we bought them it was cheaper to just get them in bulk). I hope they all get theirs together!
@cosmocity: I LOVE the idea of beta fish as table centerpieces. Just sayin' :D
@octgirl: we have 57 days and I just had my first fitting in my dress yesterday. EEK! I am planning on posting those pictures tonight!!
Question for all April Brides: Are you guys going on your honeymoon right away or waiting?
Was anyone else really excited when they got their invitation for their bridal shower? My future MIL and aunt made the cutest invitations and thank yous for my shower :D
@xo_triciazach_xo: We are going on our honeymoon right away...well that monday when our wedding is that saturday. We CANT WAIT!!!
Hi again - yeah, we're going on our honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding. Plan on hanging out with OOT guests, relaxing/resting, then we're off!
@Ms.Teddy: and @karenski: Awe that sounds so great :) The FI will have some classes to finish up before we get to jet off on our honeymoon, but we'd love to do ours next winter so that we can go somewhere warm instead of being surrounded by snow! Where are you gals going for your honeymoons?

Eeek! Bees I am so excited. Only 2 more months until I get to say "I Do" and be married to my best friend.
The invitations are out, the RSVPS are trickling in (only 2 people have said no so far, but its really early in the RSVPS). The bridal showers are falling into place (One side on March 6th and the other one is on March 19th.) The favors are getting picked out (My aunt is making us cookies! Yum!!) The second dress is on its way (but shhhh. its a secret! ;D Don't tell the familys!) The centerpieces are chosen, the ring bearers tried on their suits. Gosh they were so adorable. And my cousins are so excited. (They called me talking about how excited they were and how they wanted to wear their suits to church). The DJ music is getting picked out this month. The boy's suits are going to soon be altered.
Really what is left to plan this month is:
*look for housing options (Not wedding related, but needs to get done by the wedding day
*Patiently wait for RSVPs to come in the mail... (Actually I think I remind my FI of a puppy when the mail comes. I get quite excited :D)
*Figure out a design for the cookies
*Figure out what we are doing for the night of the wedding (what hotel and such)
*Start working on Bathroom baskets (A must that I really wanted)
*Start working on BM, GM, Parents, Ring bearers, Flower girls, Program Holders, and Mistress and Mister of the Ceremony gifts.
*Figure out stuff for the ceremony (We've had quite a road with that)
*Pre-martial classes
*Try to figure out if a Honeymoon is going to be even an option right now for us.
*Purchase wedding night outfit or at least start looking ;D
*Figure out a creative Guestbook. (We are thinking a DIY version book like the ones you can buy from http://www.guestbookstore.com/index.html)
*Work on rehersal dinner plans
And thats pretty much it. It's a lot of getting everything going.
How is everyone's planning going?? Is everyone else getting excited as the days keep counting down?? What is everyone working on? What is finally completed??
:)
