I am at 3 weeks out and I still don’t have everything done!

I am at the “fuck it, I need it and I’m just BUYING IT” place of planning.
I needed a hair comb… bought the nicest one I could find on sale, with a coupon. It wasn’t the one I wanted, but it does the trick!! Eff spending any more time on that!!!

Just start DOING things – they don’t have to be perfect. 🙂
You’ll feel accomplished and THAT will help you get more things done!

BTW – brooch boquet? Post up a photo, the Bee will critique!
Nice to have an extra set of eyes to help you “see” what’s going on with it.

@1blingedoutbride:  My wedding is in 3 weeks and I literally just booked my VENUE yesterday!! So seriously, don’t worry.

I kind of live by the motto, “If you wait til the last minute, it only takes a minute.” So far, it’s working out for me, haha.

And about your dress – I saw it on the other thread and I think it’s beautiful.

The ring? You don’t need a proposal to be engaged – obviously! I would just let your FH know that a proposal and ring is important to you – an important sign of his commitment.

Deep breaths! It will be fine! 3 months is a long time to get everything in order, don’t worry 🙂

And the brooch bouquet? I bought one of those because I am in no capacity a DIY girl. I bought mine off of Etsy from nicolasacicero, I highly recommend her. The total cost with shipping was $240 and it took about a month to make. I priced out what it would cost to do it myself, and it made more sense to just pay her to make mine. Here’s how it turned out (I love it!)

@1blingedoutbride:  I guess I am misunderstanding.  Your wedding is in 3 months but your boyfriend hasn’t proposed yet?

@1blingedoutbride:  Sounds like you need to make a list of things that need to happen in order to ensure you actually do get married when and where you think you will be, and just knock it out. Or else, it sounds like your plan really may not happen at all. It IS right around the corner, and some things should probably be addressed ASAP:

How long will it take for the ring to arrive after you order it? What about a wedding band?

Do you need any permiting or reservation to get married on the beach in Florida? How far in advance will you need to reserve/book the officiant to make sure someone is available?

What are the legal requirements? Where I live, we had to go to the courthouse a certain amount of time prior to the actual wedding day in order to recieve the official paperwork in time to marry on our date.

Will the cruise fill up? How far in advance do you have to book? Will they release your reservation if you don’t put the money down by a certain date? How far in advance must you request time off from work to confirm you can in fact go?

Will he require any tailoring or special ordering for his attire that must be done in advance?

If you are planning on having guests attend, invitations with specific time and place should probably be sent out VERY soon if they will be required to travel at all so they can make necessary accommodations.

Not trying to stress you out further, just wanted to point out that some of this stuff just can’t be done w/o some prep work — making a brooch bouquet will be the least of your worries if it turns out its too late to book your officiant/reserve your cruise/apply for your permit/get time off work etc. You’ll feel better if you make a list and just start knocking things off.

Why has he not yet proposed?
