I know!! So exciting!!!
I'm doing paper flowers, so I have been working on those for forever, lol. We have to set up a meeting with the caterer to finalize a menu this month. After that it's invitations and then all of the "big" stuff is booked and it's detail time!
Five months!!!!!
I have been to the florist and for the small amount of things I needed I spent near 400.
I have seen bridesmaids carry clutches, fans, or instead of boquets they have a small wrist one.
@holly.darbous: I have been to a florist only to get some ideas rolling and look at pictures of their previous creations. It really helped me to figure out what I like and don't like. Also, they were great about helping me to find flower ideas that complement my theme. She also gave me tips on how to look for idea for the next time we meet which helped me to be stress free about this part of the planning process.
I've seen where BM's carry candles (they had a drip container for wax) instead of flowers. I thought it was such a cute idea but I'd be too nervous about lighting myself on fire ha ha!
I went to a wedding recently where the girls carried cute clutches instead of flowers! The bride said she got them pretty inexpensively and they added a cute (but cheap) flower pin.
I am going to call the florist today to get an estimate. Maybe I can just do smaller bouquets. It's going to be July before we know it! Are you guys giving out favors?
Hey I just wanted to tune in and say that your bridesmaids could carry cotton bouquets!

Or they could just carry a single large flower or a very small bouquet.
Aghh I am totally freaking out! I am stuffing invitations as we speak! Even though I'm not mailing them until May, I want as much done ahead of time as I can.
I met with my florist in October, flowers were a big deal to me so I never thought about them carry anything else, but I like the idea of them carrying cluthes or a large, single flower!
We are doing salt water taffy for favors. I finished the favor bags a couple weeks ago, but I am waiting (obviously) to buy the candy until June.
It's 4 months for me this week!! and I am just starting to freak out!
Meeting with the florist later this month - have an appointment all set up though so that makes me feel better - have all of the big things done but all I want to do is plan but I have other things to focus on as well. So, so busy...need to book a honeymoon!

I can't believe we are only down to five months! I still have a lot to do! Have any of you met with a florist? I am really not looking forward to spending money on flowers! Have you seen bridesmaids carry anything else down the aisle?
