How hard will you enforce that rule on your Wedding?
Is this something you assume everyone knows NOT to do?
Or do you not care, either way?
The reason I ask is because, Im having a small Wedding, about 15-20 guests. No brides maids, ring bearers flower girl etc….
Just adults. Anywho my friend sent me a pic of the dress she plans on wearing and Its mostly white w a little bit of pink ruffled dress. but then my sister who noticed the pic said, ONLY the bride should wear white not the guests.
Now I dont know who’s right and whos in the wrong?

i agree with your sister. i think it is disrespectful to the bride to wear mostly white to a wedding. i’m real careful about things like that when i attend a wedding. it would annoy me. i can just *SEE* my Future Mother-In-Law wanting to wear ivory or something. nope, not happening. not sure how i’d tell her, but not happening.

That is the tradition… but as are all traditions, completely up to each couple… Personally, I wouldn’t care, but a lot of people gasp at the idea of anyone but the bride wearing white.
Side note: I have often considered how georgeous it would be if everyone wore white/ivory/etc. *winter wonderland*

I kind of assumed that everyone knew that, but I guess not. I’ve heard some horror stories on here. I don’t think I would “enforce” anything since I won’t be approving what anyone wears, but I would be kind of irritated if someone wore all white to my wedding. And I’m not very good at hiding my feelings.

I work with a girl whose Mother-In-Law wore a white dress and red shoes to her wedding. She said she wanted to smack the ever-lovin’ crap outta’ her….

So then how do I nicely tell her without sounding like a Bridezilla?
She hasnt purchased the dress yet, just something she had in mind. It didnt even cross my mind till my sister mentioned it.

i dont care if anyone wears white to my wedding. Everyone knows I’m the bride and I assume I will be the only one in a full “bridal attire” with a gorgeous gown, veil, bling head band, bouquet… etc I dont think anyone can “steal the show” from me on my day unless they show up in this

We originally wanted a white wedding party, but finding the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses proved difficult & then we didn’t have the time when we DID find one =(… The Groom and Groomsmen will be in white too though.
I was actually more worried about guests wearing converse lol (FH and I got matching pairs & the Groomsmen are wearing them)

But the dress has pink which makes it not all white. I don’t really think that would be an issue, but to each her own.
