So last night, in my three-quarters asleep haze, I asked boy, "When are we... getting... engaged?" (keep in mind I was mostly asleep and he realizes this. He also thinks I don't remember this conversation at all, ha). He said, "Well, in February. But not Valentines Day. That's contrived. And you know how I feel about Valentines Day." So there it is! February! That gives us 5 months til August, which is when a) need to get married b) move to a new city. But that's so close!

    February!

Lol I sincerly know with all my heart that he's not trying to throw me off track. If he is, he's doing a REALLY good job with it. I remember having a vague concern that he might be annoyed with me asking, but I was so tired that I wasn't really having coherant thoughts. But I remember his answer! Ha.

Oh goodness that's so exciting! Funny that he told you because I bet he thought you would forget! Haha, the joke is on him! But yeah you're right 5 months isn't a lot of time to plan an entire wedding! I keep stressing that fact to BF but he doesn't seem to understand...ugh boys!

I love that he thinks I was too tired to remember- it cracks me up. And I realize that 5 months doesn't sound like much time to plan a wedding, but we'll be okay! I'll take what venue I can do, do most everything myself and it'll all work out. I'm not terribly concerned about it, really.  People have planned weddings in alot less time, and I figure that if I have lots of prep work done and less time, it will be less likely that I second-guess myself.

Part of my almost wishes he's trying to trick me, but I really don't think that's the case.

That is too cute!! Hmm....that definitely got the wheels turning for me... sleepily asking him when we'll get engaged or if he bought a ring... Or what about after one too many drinks??

"I asked you what last night?!" Surprised

    LOL!

Dude, it totally worked out that I wasn't faking being sleepy, but I can see where you COULD. And it would totally work. Sneaky sneaky!

Yipee!! Mr. Sull is an incredibly smart man (from what I can tell)-- I don't think he actually believes you don't remember that conversation. I think its more of a wish so he can still surprise you! lol

You can totally pull off a wedding in 5 months!!! I wish I hadn't started planning until closer to the 6 month mark... honestly I've changed my mind so many times I'm making myself go insane. Also with all the drama w/ my caterer I booked a year in advance, etc... I'd rather plan closer to the day & just go with my gut instinct! :)

Your wedding will be fabulous regardless though! Oh my gosh... haha and if I'm in the US by then, I'd totally help you out with DIY stuff if you needed me :)

He may propose sooner. My boyfriend told me that he would propose by Christmas Day. Last night, when I was talking to his Mama she slipped and told me that he wanted to give me a ring for Christmas. (Even though I knew this I still beemed with joy).

However, we have agreed that he would not propose on any major holiday because we wanted our day to be like our own holiday. So knowing him, he may propose on Christmas Eve. lol

MamaBear- you can't LAUGH while you do it... you genuinely have to be tired in order to be believable! Ha, it really is so fun.
