I wouldn’t stress yourself out too much about it– I’m sure you have tons of other stuff you need to get accomplished in the last few weeks, and it could take quite a lot of time to come up with something different to say about all your guests.  Are you having any sort of pre-wedding dinner, the night before, or having the guests meet up for drinks at the hotel or anything?  Even if something unhosted and informal, it could help them get to know each other a little bit before the wedding day.  But really, people know how to mix and mingle– maybe you can put a bridesmaid or two in charge of facilitating introductions?

Where do you live in the UK?  I’m in Nottingham.

They’re something that was created by the wedding industry in the US. Most people in real life don’t give them out and many have never even heard of them. Don’t feel like they are normal or customary because they aren’t.
