Who gets the out of town bags? Is it only people who are staying in room block hotels?

I would for the people that are staying at the hotel.  You can get a list of how many from the hotel.  And you have the hotel pass them out when the guest(s) check in.  Keep some extra just in case people booked their hotels late or if they didn’t mention to the hotel they are with your wedding.  I would just do 1 per room.

Also if there are a bunch of people staying at someones house..like if Aunt Jane and Uncle Joe are staying at Cousin’s Cindy’s house and it’s close enough and you have enough time..stop over and leave some at the house, but def. don’t go out of your way to do this…it would just be a nice gesture.

i’m going to add bibs into the OOT bags for my guests who have kiddies. (there’s only 7 of them) I think i will either do a iron transfer or something.

baby wipes (for those that have kids again)

water (with a label)

candies/gummies/pretzels

itinary of the wedding day, schedule of rehersal dinner

cell phone #’s of everyone relavant

maps of where to go

coloring books for the kiddies

i think that’s all i’ve thought of for now…

A little bag of Zapps potato chips would be great in a NOLA OOT bag!  We’re not getting married in New Orleans, but somewhat close by, so we’re putting them in our OOT bags.

for our outdoor ceremony with a tree themed/rustic/lavender wedding we hare screenprinting canvas tote bags with oak trees and including local travel brochures, sunscreen, custom postcards and homemade lavender soap.  on our list we’ll have cell numbers and a printed version of the map (as we didnt mail one to guests).

we’re not including snacks or water…  partly because our bags are being given to all guests at a welcome campfire the night before the wedding.

Our wedding is in NJ, and close to NYC. Our actual bags are the drawstring backpacks…$1/ea from Michaels and we put a design on the front with a stencil.

Inside:

Subway train map for NYC,

NJ tourist guides – from department of tourism for free

Map of NJ – same as above

Postcard with important numbers & locations – ie. hospital & pharmacy.

Hand sanitizer

Cookies from a favorite local bakery

coloring book and crayons for those with children.

Another postcard with local parks and a map of the area. – I made using vistaprint=free postcards.

Our Maine-themed OOT bags are LL Bean style tote bags.  (Couldn’t get the real thing since they are WAY too expensive.)  We’re filling them with:

Wedding schedule / map / welcome letter

Tourist brochures

Insect repellent wipes

Poland Springs bottled water

Chocolate covered blueberries

Breath mints

Chex mix

Oatmeal scotchie cookies (that FI claims he is going to bake)
