We got married last September and did Out of Town bags.

For the stuff that didn’t go bad, we purchased it about 4-6 months beforehand, when things went on sale. Like water bottles and such.

For the snacks we put in that were locally made, we placed a bulk order about three weeks ahead of time, and picked them up three days before the wedding. We assembled all the baskets that night (the Wed before), and delivered them to the hotels on Thursday so that Friday morning guests would check in and receive their bags.

If you just want a fall theme, here are some ideas:

Pumpkin taffy
Candy corn
Those caramel apple lollipops
Hot cocoa or apple spiced tea
Leaf-shaped chocolates
Granola (a la Mrs. Cow Boy Boot!) always says fall me to

I always suggest bottled water, too. Even if it’s those mini ones. Everyone can used bottled water while staying in a hotel.

I am going to put water bottles, pain reliever, snacks, pens, puzzle books, and a diy pamphlet of details, directions and things to do.

We’re doing a Destination Wedding, so it’s a bit different. We’re doing:

*bottle of wine or liqour

*plastic glasses

*Water bottles

*Microwave popcorn and perhaps a couple local snacks

*Maps & contacts for different activities, map of resort

*Schedule for the wedding
