Hey ladies – had to share something hilarious that happened at the office today:
I work in a tech office. This lady came in needing an update on a program, and we began talking about work, etc. Turns out, she was an intern at DH’s office… less than 2 months ago. She began talking all kinds of smack about DH and his team, how awful they were, how she didn’t get an office, yada yada yada…
Um, if you’re going to talk trash about people, make sure the person you are talking to isn’t MARRIED to one of them.
As soon as she left I called the hubbs. He laughed and said they basically let her go b/c she was so incompetent. I figure that her error was probably a good indication of her character and commptence, which is why they let her go anyway.
Just thought that was funny and had to share 🙂
also, why isn’t there a JOBS board/tag?

That’s hysterical!! That’s as bad as our son’s teacher telling FI how much of a “Wild Child” the curly headed kid in her class is and he was “wreaking” her quiet year. When she asked which child he was picking up, he says, “uh, the curly headed wild child that’s wreaking your quiet year.”
People are ridiculous.

What intern does get an office?? I thought I was lucky when I had a desk! :). Yeah, that girl is not going to make it far at all in the corporate world.

Wow – too funny! Fair warning, it’s a small world and you never know 😉

Ha! I would have said something like “Oh, you worked for my husband! What a small world!” Make her eat her words!

That’s so true! My sister experiences this often. Sometimes in her presense people will make rude comments about African-Americans, (usually off-hand and not extreme racist things, but in poor taste nonetheless–she is white) without realizing she has a bi-racial daughter. Of course, anyone might find these types of comments insulting no matter what, but it still irks me that people think they can sum a person up after knowing them for 5 minutes!
