I'm hoping for both. We're being featured on three of our suppliers' blogs (two local, one national), we've been told by our photographer that he's pretty sure we'll be featured on a big national wedding blog (who have featured his work before) and there's a campaign by girls on the forum of the biggest Scottish national wedding magazine to get our wedding featured in there. I'm really excited about all of them!
@emshek: I agree, I like the magazine more. Its just something about having your special memories in print. I think its more personable and very chic.
We were featured both on a blog and in a our local knot magazine. Other than your photographer, I'm not too sure your vendors matter that much. We had DIY flowers, a relative supplied the music, our cupcakes were sams club, and everything else was local. Blogs and mags are looking for unique cohesive looking weddings with tons of details. It is a lot harder to get in a magazine than on a blog but it's not impossible:)
@kate169: Lets just be honest, Sam's makes the best cakes and cupcakes in the world! I have not met a baker that is better than them.
@Soladylike: I know, right? We had a small cake for cutting made by a local baker in addition to the cupcakes and it was SO DRY! None of our guests knew the cupcakes were from Sam's haha.
@kate169, thats awesome congrats! Would you mind sharing a bit about the experience? Did your photographer submit on your behalf? Did you submit to a lot of blogs and magazines? How long was the wait process? Thanks!
I think either would be awesome...imagine the memories you can pass down to your future little ones. I am personally hoping for our more local magazines. There is a bigger possibility of being chosen & would mean more to us personally.

Hi fellow bees :). I just got married in October and finally got to see our gorgeous wedding gallery. I've always secretly wanted to see our wedding featured in a local magazine like the local Knot or Brides. I also would love to be in one of the wedding blogs I still obsessively read post wedding. Ok so here's my question, since mags/blogs are about exclusivity - do you think the likelihood of being in a one page print of a local mag. is more unlikely than being in a blog? We used mostly local vendors except for big ones like wedding photographer, videographer and invites.... Which I feel like would deter the local mags? As much as i love blogs, theres just something old school special to me about being in a print publication. Thoughts? Thanks so much :)
