My persona opinion, I feel like the yellow e-rings are a trend. Your orginal ring is timeless and gorgous! Maybe consider getting a yellow diamond ring for a right hand ring or one to interchange with your original e-ring?

Yours is so pretty as it is. I think the band you have is way prettier than the split-shank yellow diamond setting. If you do get the yellow one, why couldn’t you just get the stones switched out rather than getting a whole new ring?

I think you would hurt his feelings if you replaced the ring he took time to pick out.  Why dont you try and have some sort of yellow diamond in your wedding band?

I’m biased because I have a yellow diamond, and don’t think it’s a ‘trend’, so if your fiance is definitely ok with it then I’d say go for it!

I think yellow rings also have a tendency to look ‘dirty’ sometimes, too. (Moreso than a regular diamond).

I personally would not.. but yellow diamonds are not to my taste. If you really love one I say go for it, or maybe have one as a RHR?

@neasy12:  I think if it was me, I’d keep the original e-ring and pick a slightly (or completely) different style for a yellow RHR.

I love the yellow! If that’s what you want, get it. Who cares what other people think.

@cece_intheuk:  Please don’t take offense, yellow diamonds can be very pretty! I’m sure yours is beautiful 🙂

@neasy12:  Exactly! No hurt feelings but you get exactly what you want. Who doesn’t love options? Of course this is assuming you do love ther orginal ring too. If you honestly don’t care for it then I say no harm done in making the change. Your FI wants you happy, that’s what counts 🙂

I think the yellow diamond is beautiful, I really do! I would just caution you to be very aware of how it might be making him feel. He may say that it is okay, and to do whatever you want – but maybe wearing the ring that he picked out might have some sentimental value to him? On the plus side, it is basically the same ring he chose, but with a different diamond, correct? So the sentimental value may still be there. I would just encourage you to really make sure that you aren’t hurting his feelings – he might be saying it is okay because he loves you and wants you to be happy, but could still be hurt. You know him best though! Just something to perhaps think about!

I personally love yellow diamonds…I have some in my RHR. Are you meaning you want to replace the diamond you have now with the yellow diamond or get the whole new ring?

Just make sure you’re not too attached to the ring you have now….you might not think you are until it’s gone. Both are beautiful though 🙂 good luck on whatever you decide!
