I have only 2 bridesmaids.  They will have black dresses.  Would it look better to have them in the same dress, or two different dresses.  I asked them to pick their own but they don't want to and just want me to pick for them.  Great...one more thing to do!  Which ones do you like?

I have three and decided that I wanted them in the same dress.  With two, I'd make the same choice, but I know that's not for everyone.

Have you shown them all the options you just posted and asked if they have a preference?  I like the first dress, but I also know that not everyone is happy with a strapless dress...

I would keep it simple and have them wear the same dress. Since there are only two of them, they probably wouldn't have too much trouble finding one they both like. I love the choices you posted too!

Since you only have two bridesmaids, I think I'd keep them in the same dress.

I'd probably keep them in the same dress since there are only 2.  I really like the second dress.

I think it depends on their body type. If they both look good in the same dress than I'd go that route. If they didn't then I'd rather they both wore something that flatters them.

It depends on their body types but if they don't care at all then go for the same dress i think

I would keep them in the same dress for simplicity's sake.  I love the first one!  But I am partial to bubble hems.

I think keep them in the same dress...especially if they're indifferent. I love #4! So cute!

I love the second and the third dresses. I agree with having them both wear the same dress. I do love bubble skirts too... :)

So I really like the first one and it's on my list of options.

Here's a video of 5 bridesmaids in different weights wearing them. The video is also hilarious. But you can see how nicely they move and fit on the skinny girl the medium girl and the plus size girl.

I love how BM look on different dresses and I think body types are def something to have in mind when choosing them, because not everyone looks good on the same dress :)

It really depends on their body types. Pear bodies are not flattered by bubble dresses. I think that dress three is a safe bet for many body types. Also, it's timeless. The other dresses are adorable, but trendy. I look back on my mothers mumu dresses that go up to the kneck with ballon arms in a rusty yellow color and straw hats (gasp) and I just laugh. Make your event timeless!

I LOVE the first one! Who is the designer?

I agree- keep the same dress for simplicity sake. Also make sure that all the ladies are comfortable wearing strapless (I have a few friends that are rather busty and might not feel comfortable in a strapless- but would never tell me without being asked).

I see the vote is solidly locked at exactly 50/50! I personally think with a really neutral color like black you can absolutely mix and match.

i love your dress options!!!, i voted different dresses. I have 3 BMs (including MOH) and am letting them choose a black dress of their choice from several options/suggestions.

If the dress color is going to be black, with only 2 girls it will be fairly easy to find 2 diff dresses.  I opted for this route so that it's also a dress they might use again.  Especially since they're basically telling you to pick for them.

I made the mistake of letting them choose (with my OK) and my MOH was a total nightmare, trying to pick the shortest, skimpiest dress for my vintage glam wedding....then hating everything I said I liked.  Finally found something but I was seriously ready to clock her.

Love the choices you've posted.  Just be aware that if either girl is very big busted, a halter or strapless might be difficult for her to wear.

I really like #4!! Strapless is tough for some people though (like myself....) so make sure your girls will be comfortable!

Personally, I like the look of having the BM in different dresses, no matter how many there are of them.  My gals each chose a different black dress from JCrew and I think it looked great AND they were happy.  I think the color unified their look and they were all similar enough to look great in the photos.

I love the third dress! I agree with whoever said it depends on their body-type. For example, my sisters are going to be my maids of honor (and only BMs) and they are complete opposites in body-type. I am having them wear a little black dress, and they can each choose whatever looks best on them.

I think they should wear the same dress since there are only two of them. I love dress #1 because it has more personality.

I think that if they're indifferent, then they can just wear the same dress.  I had my girls wear different dresses because there were 6 of them, and I knew they'd never agree on the same one.  Opinion on BM dresses : wedding Icon Razz

I vote for #3 or #4....only because they are the most rewearable! They look less like BM dresses than the other ones. The material is softer and both are really flattering cuts!

I voted same, although I think it could go either way (sorry!). I have to say I really love the 3rd dress and the 4th dress is really cute too! I really love the flowey fabric and it's totally rewearable.
