etiquette schmetiquette! I think flat cards are fine and as long as your notes are sincere and grateful, that's all that matters!
@MandyW-- I'm with you! I feel ridiculous sometimes for even thinking about stuff like this! Thanks for the back up!
haha glad to help! I know about stressing over those ridiculous details though! People probably won't even notice that it's a flat card anyway!
i agree with mandy... I actually really like the idea of flat cards, and your design is really cute! But then again I could care less about etiquette when it comes to things like that. As long as you're sending out thank yous and it's not on a post-it, it's formal enough for me!
Those look like they will be beautiful! Who cares if they aren't a folded card!
Of course it's okay! If it's written and it's prompt, there isn't any reason people won't be satisfied. :)

So, I am thinking ahead to my thank you notes (and budgeting for them), and wondered what people would think of this option:
I want to do envelopes and note cards the same color as in my invitations (gold and blue), stamped with thank you and with the swirly floral design from my invites (see images below). My question is, would it be OK to do flat cards instead of folded note cards for my thank yous? They are much cheaper, but I wanted to make sure people think it will be formal enough or acceptable etiquette-wise
