It's a gorgeous necklace, but I am not sure if I love it with the dress. I feel like with the lace high on the back and at the shoulders, the jewels on the necklace and the heaviness of it might not work with the dantiness of the dress.
But, if you love the necklace and if you have an idea of how it'll be styled in your mind, and you like it, then go with it. I know sometimes I throw together stuff that other people aren't crazy about and it ends up working when it's actually on!
I think simpler would be better with your gorgeous dress! I love the back!
Why not wear it for the rehearsal dinner instead?
haha, I love that as soon as I posted this I found a necklace I love even more....

i love the look of that necklace but i do think is to much for your beautiful dress...
I like the 2nd necklace! That is so pretty! and i think it would not compete with the dress.
I like that much better! I think that one would definitely work! I especially like that it uses a model with a top on that has sleeves and lace . . . much better for visualizing :)
that second necklace i love and i think is perfect for the dress, where you found that one?
I think it will overwhelm your dress! Your dress is SO gorgeous and the detail on the back is incredible - anything that big will make your dress disappear!
I love that necklace, but it looks like it would be too much for your dress. I think its the pretty straps that throw the look off.
Second necklace is perfect :) So romantic... and you can tell by the blouse it's paired with in the photo that it will go great with your dress!
I think the second necklace will work perfectly!
I agree with the others that the first necklace you posted, while beautiful, is just too much for your gorgeous dress. The second necklace would work much better with your dress. I'm not sure your dress really needs a necklace (I think it looks great without one) but if you want to wear a necklace, I think the second one would be lovely with it.
Both necklaces are gorgeous, but the second one looks like it is far more proportional to the dress. Beautiful dress by the way!
the second necklace is totally perfect for that dress!
btw, did you buy your dress on bestbridalprices.com? I'm thinking of buying my dress online, but im skeptical!
@susupoppy - No, I bought mine in a local bridal shop. Sorry I can't help!
@everyone - Thanks ladies, I knew I could count on y'all to give me an honest opinion!
I think it doesn't match the gown's style. Personally however I prefer the "slightly too much" to the "frumpy simple" look. If I were you, I would get a bold necklace but in filigree.

I am in love with this necklace that I found on etsy.com, but I'm wondering if you ladies think it might be too much? I don't want it to overwhelme me or the dress...
