Ok ladies, so I tried my dress on for the first time since I bought it. I have the sash, necklace, and shoes already… but I feel like something is missing.
I wanted a dress with straps so badly but it just didn’t happen, I ended up falling in love with this dress. Even though I love it I can’t help but feel like its missing something… Am I crazy???
What do you ladies think?

Is the pink sash part of the dress? I think it competes with the necklace. That dress fits you beautifully!

I love that dress!! I have to say though, I’m not really a fan of the pink sash with it. IMO it makes the dress look a little too “prom”. Maybe a veil is what you’re missing?

I agree with the previous poster re: sash competing with the dress a little bit. Have you considered pink shoes underneath?
My other suggestion is that if you really wanted straps, you could always have extra material from hemming or find a material that matches the gauzey layers of your dress, and have illusion straps made. I’m a really big fan of the straps that start gathered together and fan out a little as they come over the shoulder to create a sort of cap, very classy.
The necklace looks amazing with it! So unique, not something I would have thought of, but so much fun!

I love the dress it looks stunning on you! The necklace looks great too! But to be honest just like PP said I’m not feeling the pink sash. I’m not sure the dress needs one! That and the pink just takes away from the elegance of the dress. I would ditch the sash and add the veil!

gelaine22: no it is not a piece of the dress, I added it 🙂
msfreemis: BWLE: I only got the sash to tie in with the girls. I forgot I had my veil when I took the pictures I’ll have to try it with my veil..good thinking 🙂
Thank you ladies!

I agre that the sash and the necklace are competing with each other. If you want the sash, I would not wear a necklace, just statement earrings.
If you prefer the necklace, I would not wear the sash, or wear a white one.

Same here, I agree with the pp’s. IMO I would choose either the sash or necklace.

blushbambi: I agree with PP, either the sash or necklace, not both, IMO. maybe a silver sash or one with clear beads might work better?
If that ‘something missing’ is you missing the straps you originally thought you wanted, David’s Bridal makes sheer cap sleeve additions that are not very expensive. Might not hurt to take a look if you have a DB store nearby.

Yeah I definitely agree, that sash i’m sorry, does not look right with that dress. Just looks so odd. Gorgeous dress though. Is it a little tight up on top? Looks like a little boob spillage from it being a little too small on top?
I’m not so sure that sleeves would look good either with that necklace. If you add sleeves, you might want to rethink the necklace.
Maybe a smaller rhinestone belt?

I think that sash & necklace look so good with your dress….& I’m usually not into color like that. But I love everything on you & together. Is it the veil that’s missing? Haha!

I agree with PP, the sash looks out of place. I don’t love the necklace either; I prefer statement earrings and a bare neck with a strapless dress. But if you want the necklace, it would look better without the sash.

I think it looks great! I like how the belt and necklace are together.

Maybe that is the issue, maybe instead of missing something I need to take something away…
This is what the dress looked like the day I brought it home…no sash, just necklace.
And yes there is slight boob spillage! I wore a corset under the dress in the first set of pictures. Which I think pushed to high in combination with the dress corset back. I will not be wearing the under corset..just using the corset of the dress.

love the necklace, I think the sash is a little too pink. Either a paler shade or a white sash, but I do think it needs a sash after seeing it without. I think the veil is what you are missing silly! (Are you planning on wearing a veil?) I love it strapless and don’t think it needs sleeves. I was also a bride who wanted straps so bad. I even bought a dress with straps, I ended up hating it and then bought a strapless dress. It was a great decision
